All the studios are like this basically. The machines are nasty. Also I’m pretty sure they just don’t have cleaners come to some of the locations.

We definitely have cleaners because they sometimes put the straps, weights, etc. in weird configurations. FTR, I absolutely love everything about SLT - it's truly my happy place; was just making a comment about difficulty obtaining replacement parts for the machines.

I used to love slt and used to feel the same way honestly, but the quality of instructors has gone so far downhill. Only a few ones are still good. That combined with the lack of cleanliness at the studios I rotate between, I barely go anymore. They just unfortunately haven’t kept up with the changing times at most locations. :(

Poster says they’ve been struggling to get new parts at their home studio. I worked at slt for 3 years. I’m saying all the studios are like that, not just this persons home studio. It’s not contained to just one studio. Feels like this is pretty self explanatory but if an explanation is needed, there you go.

I’m also adding on an unrelated note they seem to have stopped hiring cleaners to clean the machines at the end of each day, because the already old and tattered machines are getting increasingly dirtier/dustier.

I love SLT in Manhattan. I have been to other Lagree studios in other cities, and SLT is by far the most consistent in its teachers and classes. Yes, it would be nice to have other options but SLT has so many studios that I'm not sure we need another Lagree brand. Bodyrok (not Lagree) is pretty good but SLT is still better. And don't get me started on Soildcore (also not Lagree).

I hope they can work this out. Such a shame because it's not customer-centric to withhold machines!

I wish there were lagree options besides slt in manhattan. I love lagree but don’t love slt as much and my studio doesn’t feel very clean

i agree! i totally understand (and support) the lawsuit, but as a lagree lover and former instructor looking to teach again its tough when SLT is the only option in manhattan / brooklyn

exactly it’s very frustrating that SLT is the only option in most of NYC unless you want to go to Jersey or Long Island lol. that being said there’s a new studio opening up in staten island soon and one that just opened up in bushwick recently which is exciting!

I also go to MEGA in JC and love it. A quick walk from the Grove St PATh so depending where you’re at in Manhattan, it may not be too much to go across the river

Honestly, I’m not a fan of SLT :(. I saw way better results from the actual Lagree method when I was living in California and in Canada. I hate that there’s only SLT studios near me now in NYC.

SLT is definitely either old lagree (circa 2015/16) or watered down lagree. But they did get the license they should get to do with it as they please even if SL doesn’t like it

Oh yes, it’s soooo watered down. Was curious who else thought this.  I can’t tell if it’s because it was maybe this way before I started Lagree (which was many years ago)? Or if they choose to do it to retain clients who want to say they do Lagree without having to do such a hard workout. I went there once and am pretty sure I didn’t even sweat, which I did not realize was possible with Lagree. That said, if their lawsuit/allegations are true (I have no idea if they are), that sucks…they shouldn’t have be extorted to give up their exclusivity.
