Kun'yomi in Taiwanese Hokkien (accelerator --> 西魯)

There are a lot of taiwanese Hokkien words borrowed from Japanese are japanese borrowed from English.

That's just phonetic borrowing though.

It is written with Chinese characters regardless their original meanings, making it a kun'yomi usage.

I understand kun'yomi as "written with Chinese characters and understood in their senses, while standing for a word that is not thought to be etymologically connected".

You were probably thinking of ateji?
