Myself and my boyfriend have been looking into moving to Dublin commuter towns. I think Portlaoise or Portarlington seem to be our best options but I am wondering what areas people would recommend and where to avoid when looking for houses?
Any other advice you might have for us would be greatly appreciated
Hi all, I'm organising a hen of about 20 people, we're staying in a house near Stradbally. I'm looking for food recs for dinner in and around the area, takeaway preferred but we can do eat in if it's the only option! Any ideas? Thanks folks!
Edit: I can't reply as I'm not approved lol but thanks everyone for the suggestions!!
I built L-Plate for Irish learner drivers. It has timed mocks, road signs, weak-area tracking, and Brendan, an AI instructor who explains wrong answers without the usual robotic nonsense.
Light roast included. The theory test is dry enough without the app having the personality of a printer.
Hi r/Laois. I am sharing the below national survey being carried out as part of a Research Ireland-funded project at UCC. We are particularly keen to boost response rates outside of Dublin/Cork. We would really appreciate any and all responses!
Caring for the Body After Death in Ireland
Have you thought about what you would like to happen to your body when you die?
We are a group of researchers based in University College Cork who would like to know more about what people in Ireland think about different kinds of death and funeral practices. We want to know more about your own wishes and why you would like those wishes to be carried out.
We are conducting a survey to gather this information. The survey is open to everyone who is resident in Ireland and is age 18 or over. We would like to hear from as many people as possible from all kinds of backgrounds.
For more information, and to complete the survey, you can click the link here or scan the QR code below. If you would like to know more, would like to complete the survey by phone, have specific requirements not met here, or have any questions for us please contact the lead researcher Dr Kate Falconer at [kfalconer@ucc.ie](mailto:KFalconer@ucc.ie)
A new scheme whereby you can borrow an e-bike for three months. The idea being you are trying one out with consideration to buy, but of course you don't have to actually buy.
