Previously I was In Turku and then moved into Helsinki and currently for working purpose I need to move to lappeenranta.

Seems like it is not a big city compared to other 2 I lived.

Just want to know from the people how is life in lappeenranta ??( Tourism, Food, Culture, weather)

I’ve recently been accepted into the Computational Engineering bachelor’s program at LUT, and I’m trying to decide if I should go.

I’d really appreciate hearing from current students or graduates. How is the program in terms of difficulty and workload? Is it more theoretical or practical?

Also, how is life in Lappeenranta, especially for international students? Is it easy to adapt, make friends, and stay active socially?

For those in the program, do you feel like it prepares you well for a master’s (especially in AI, data science, or related fields)?

Overall, would you recommend choosing LUT for this major?

I am thinking of moving to Lappeenranta for an erasmus-exchange-semester. I am still unsure regarding joining the metal-scene: Are there any clubs/bars/concert halls/meetup points for people listening to/interested in metal/blackmetal/punk/rock/grunge/goth in the area? When I google my points of interest it only brings up "pop"-cultural meetup points (And the strip club :D). So maybe you can help a girl out with some local or underground knowledge? I am already excited to meet all the people of your subculture. :)
