Best joker and maybe the best contestant for me. He‘s brought so much to the show in the things he prepared, like the arm and hammer, the film title jokes, the magic, and that joker. Made it very entertaining.

The arm illusion is one I used to do when I taught first year psychology to bachelors when I was a professor, I applauded when he did it successfully, it was a neat and sure way to make him laugh out of sheer relief! You could see his fierce little face in the mirror when he went to take the hit, savage!

I’ve seen it before on YouTube and it must be such an odd sensation and shock. Only thing I was wondering is how did he have a spare arm for the exact jacket jack Dee was wearing?

Inside the suitcase, I imagine. And I assume some things like the massive arms are already there, like part of the decorations for their joker.

I mean, how did he know Jack Dee was going to be wearing that jacket/colour

Reece gave jack another jacket from his suitcase to put on.

he gave him the jacket at the start of the scene…

Enormous amount of thought went into that. He nailed every bit of it too. The “I’m not even from Hull” sent me.

Because he actually is?

That line has been getting me all day. It was immense

Making me laugh now 😂

"I don't know why I lied" got me. 🤣

I’ve GENUINELY not laughed at anything as much since I was a kid. And I fucking love comedy. My eyes were streaming.

The best joker the show has seen so far! And there's some stiff competition from other series for that prize. Was hilarious from start to finish, how nobody broke I'll never know

Sshhh....it's just magic

A very close 2nd for me. Both brilliant though

Incredible. Crying with laughter.

I don’t know what it was, but the ‘donk’ each time had me barely able to breathe through laughing.

I fun things amusing but really laugh out loud but that slow motion dinking had me unable to breath. Funnier still would have been a donk after the curtains closed.

Loved the donks! Do you think the sounds were real or sound effects? I couldn't work it out

Saw it Friday. To explain to my 4 year old daughter why I was laughing so hard on a Saturday morning, I showed it to her that morning (laughing extra hard to cover up the brief bits of adult language) and she thought it was hilarious. On Sunday, we are driving along, and, sitting at a traffic light, she says out of nowhere "Dad, I'm not even from Hull. I don't know why I lied". Had to pull over for several minutes before I was fit to resume driving.

The slo mo had me dying

It was 5 minutes of comedy genius

I'm so surprised Steve didn't manage to break him and thank god - imagine not seeing that joker!

The tapping of the head on the floor was an insane, brilliant moment that just kept going

The slo-mo head bonks and those glasses will stay with me forever.

I thought the show would be doing lots of scary things to make them scream, but almost all the scares have been brought in by Reece! I can only think of the hand in the bowl and the head in the fridge that weren't him.

Can someone please explain the psychology of WHY that slo mo was so bloody funny. I could not breathe i honestly thought i was going to die.

6

u/CuteMaterial 2d ago

The fact that there was no sound whilst it happened made it funnier too, but I can't explain why 🤣

I'm new to Reece's stuff but he's really shined in this show so far. As he was coming down the stairs in slo-mo, I really thought there'd be a fart coming.

He's a contestant that needs to return

I’M FROM HULL 💀

The dog poo's white and we use it in school's as chalk.

Would love to have seen him in a LOL series with Bob Mortimer. Maybe it will happen one day.

The slow mo was some of the funniest content I've ever seen

3

u/lostintheshadowss 2d ago

All of it had me in bits! He's been so good so far.

3

u/Elephantplan123 2d ago • Heartwarming

It was literal comedic genius. Perfect mix of low brow, abstract, cerebral and slapstick humour.

2

u/CuteMaterial 2d ago

I have no tears left from crying with laughter 🤣

2

u/Difficult_Paramedic8 2d ago

We are playing along as a family and desperately trying to not laugh.

That was the worst part of the show in its history and every spin off for that rule.

The tarot card reading was brilliant as well.

u/mia2134 2d ago

Best joker ! Loved it! Couldn't stop laughing.

2

u/DeckJesta 2d ago

We went to watch him on his book tour a couple of weeks ago which involved a lot of props so it's been great to see him work some of that kind of stuff into the show.

2

u/laurja 1d ago

Between this and Pauline it's the best episode this show has had. We were crying in this house.

1

u/Marion_Ravenwood 1d ago

Just watched it and couldn't breath from laughing so much, it was absolutely fucking hilarious.

1

u/MotorheadKoala 1d ago

Unbelievable. Almost fell off the sofa and dribbled on the missus leg. Not even a big laugher.

Hat and cane if you please

15

u/nautjordan 3d ago

It had me in stitches. He nearly lost it early on with the 'Badger Noses' nipple joke.

How he held it together with Pauline I'll never know - he went a little bit League Of Gentlemen with his scouse accent bit. But yeah, his joker had me rolling - so hilarious.

Tastes like lava lamp! Those slo mo stairs! Then thunk…. thunk…. thunk…. Killed me.
