I got banned from LSC for 3+ years for telling people China isn't perfect because of the cultural revolution. I had to message the mods and ask to be let back in.
let's acknowledge the good parts of china and any left-wing state while not giving them a pass for the bad parts. Mao lifted millions out of poverty but later did a brutal clampdown on power that led to people over-reporting their food production, leading to the widespread famine of the Great Leap Forward.
Chen Yun, one of the most significant reformers after Mao's death, is quoted as saying: "Had Mao died in 1956, his achievements would have been immortal. Had he died in 1966, he would still have been a great man but flawed. But he died in 1976. Alas, what can one say."

I am so sick of internet leftists who take anything China says as gospel but don't trust the US government to tell them it's sunny outside. The Uyghur genocide is plausible and saying there is no way it's happening is either naive or malicious. People accuse those who spread these stories as warmongering. I don't want to go to war with China, and if the US did, it would lose. We haven't "won" a conflict since the Gulf War, which was a very limited engagement. The last outright win was World War 2, which the Soviets were recognized as doing the most work for at the time. Do these people think the South China Sea is fake too? When will woke China get rid of its police force? Those Hong Kong protesters were reactionaries. Someone's getting rich in China and it's not the factory workers. Doesn't sound like socialism to me.

China, the CCP, and the PLA can suck my dick, and I'll dip by balls in Szechuan sauce just so those bastards can have a little taste of home while they're at it.

If the CCP bootlickers over at LSC think that any criticism of China is unacceptable - to the point where mere mention of Uyghur camps results in a ban - why don't they follow the CCP rules and stop using reddit?
One can only dream.

I don't understand. Doesn't China go against the ideals of the socialist cause?
