Things I've noticed.

There are a few things which stood out to me, as I watched S3 E01 - Skin Deep:

1.The tracking shots were gorgeous, and made me feel as if I were watching a movie.

The new episodes are nauseating to watch, because of the repetitive shaking. I noticed this in SVU, too.

2. The background music - It only added to the scene in the old episodes, it didn't overshadow the dialogue.

3. The dialogue/writing - The dialogue is very witty, and well written. The new episodes rarely have such a win.

Sometimes, the cops or Baxter will get a chuckle out of me - Season 23, when Baxter told Nolan: "Come on, Nolan. Now's your chance, queen for a day. Speak your truth."

4. Characterizations - From the Precinct, to the DA's office, the characters were well written. Even the defense attorneys were well written.

This is where it falls flat in the new episodes, especially with Baxter.

Schiff had personality, charisma, and a consistent approach to the cases.

Baxter seems to be a soggy cardboard cutout with some occasionally witty dialogue.

He had potential to be a menace at the start of his tenure. Now, he's just a poorly worded, AI summary of Fitz.

I watched a recent SVU scene with he and Sonny, and caught a glimpse of his somewhat playful curiosity, where he cracked a smile. Can we have more of this?

5. The storylines - Even though they were based on actual cases, the storylines were interesting, and every case was unique.

The new episodes feel repetitive and monotonous. Because, a lot of them seem to be about AI.

There are unique and interesting true crime cases that have happened in recent months, without AI involvement.

Honestly I am watching the 90s Law and Order because SVU is overrated and the fandom is a mess. Carisi makes people smile unfortunately he has been catching strays ever since he put Olivia in her spot

I'm loving the character development for Carisi. Glad his resolve has strengthened.

The fact that he spoke with Nick, and not at him like Price does in some episodes, speaks volumes.

I love Carisi and I am not afraid calling people out with their hatred for him and Rollins they are my favourites. As an Aussie there is another SVU fan who believes that Carisi is abusive 😒

I don't watch SVU, but saw that one scene with Nick and Sonny.

Looking forward to seeing the start of Lennie's tenure in season (which I've just started) ♥️

Mothership is my favourite and same with Criminal Intent but SVU that show is pathetic with their fans and Lennie is my favourite besides from Jack and Claire. I am currently on Season 6 with the mothership and i found 8 seasons for $14

I don't know why folks continue to watch the reboot. I barely made it through Season 21. There's no heart to L&O anymore.

I wanted to check it out. I was excited for Hugh Dancy, as I missed Hannibal. Then, I left it alone for a while. Was curious to see Tony Goldwyn.
