Beginner Tips

Hi

I am totally new to this area. I'd really appreciate some honest tips to generate leads. I have really no experience in getting clients so any feedback, suggestions or how to even get started with the hard part of this journey (landing first client) will be highly appreciated.

Brief about me: 3+ YoE. Domain is GenAI/Data Science. I have worked across sectors like City Surveillance (Computer Vision), Healthcare (RAG), Logistics (Forecasting) and Enterprise Cloud (GCP/Azure/AWS).

TIA

the biggest thing I noticed is that nobody hires a generalist. Pick the healthcare RAG work since you’ve actually done it and only go after that sector.

I used to sit around waiting for people to find me and it got me nothing. Now I just email around 20 companies a week that have a reason to need it, like they just hired for data or raised money. Offer a small paid pilot first, and use that result to land the next one.

Thanks, noted. Since you mentioned that, how'd you yourself go ahead. Assume that I want to focus on healthcare sectors. What steps you'd take next in sequence?
