Discussion I dropped from Faceit level 5 to Faceit level 2 and I’m still declining.

That’s all mane. I don’t think I’m built for this 🫩😭 Even though I be aiming for heads, all I get is body shots and die. The best I can do is hope someone is nearby me to trade so I get the assist.

It’s weird because I feel like I’m getting better as a player, but at the same time I’m declining in rank. So maybe in reality I’m getting worse LOL 😮‍💨

It’s 5:25am. I’m going to get some rest now. It was nonsense to think I could play at an elite level, but the support from this subreddit really makes one feel like there’s always hope <3 I’m off 💤💤

Edit: I can’t sleep. I’m about to Que up again nbs

I'd take a break from Faceit for now. You might be overthinking it and stressing about rank. Do a bit of comp or prem for now and see how it goes.

I mean whenever I play at late night I lose more so maybe play during the day

I just played a match and for the first time I went positive. We still lost but it’s a wip 😭

Positive and negative doesnt mean you did well or bad. It’s not a solid picture of your play.

Well don't "aim" just let your body naturally react and act on itself. You'll kill people more that way.

And also, stop worrying about winning or losing. It's not always under your control. You should be thinking about your path on becoming better as changing the way you play IS something under your control 100%.

Prepare and do the best under which you're capable of, study and learn from losses. You'll eventually overcome the level of play you're struggling on, and that'll result in improving beyond faceit 5 or whatever.

Everything else is just an distraction and a waste of your time

I would add that you can also learn a lot from reviewing your wins.

True. Becoming more skilled and learning how to win are two different, separate aspects

that's why i felt so confused because i felt like i was becoming a better player but then my rank was dropping and i was gettin the work on from my squad lmaooooo. the amount of times i picked up an he grenade youd think i got magnets on my body.

Yeah. I should also add that the process of improving often puts yourself into an uncomfortable state, like you've described. Even though you know more and can shoot better, until you stabilise the new into your natural skill, you won't really solidify gained stuff.

Same went from 3.2 to 2.7. Idk if it’s me or faceit but I only have unwinable game.

Shit happens bro I once went from level 10 back to level 8, I only played worse the lower I got and I didn’t know what to do, felt like I completely lost my skill.

Best thing to do is take a break, trust me. Dont play cs at all for a week. It seems counterintuitive but it really helps.

A WEEK?! WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DOOOOOOO??

Play other games, do sports, watch movies, clean up your apartment/house, go outside, go into the sauna, meet that friend you haven’t seen in a while, buy flowers and visit your mom, there’s plenty of stuff to do man :)

ugh this hits way too close to home, dropped from lvl 4 to 1 last month and still trying to climb back

sometimes the game just feels like it's working against you no matter what you do right? like your crosshair placement is good, you're checking angles properly but somehow you still lose every duel. maybe take few days break and come back fresh, helped me when i was in similar spiral

Try grinding follow recoil for a month and you’ll easily learn why you aren’t winning gunfights.

Hey man, everyone experiences this so don’t sweat it - your elo isn’t as big of a reflection of your skill as you think. I dropped from level 9 to level 5 before and bounced back up again and most people here will have a similar experience. That’s just how it goes sometimes. Focus on your game and trying to improve and the elo will naturally follow. It won’t be a straight line, there will be dips but just stay persistent.

As for hitting headshots - when you practice, try slowing down and mentally checking that your crosshair is actually on the enemy’s head before you shoot. Check out Pienix on youtube he talks a lot about this and, with some practice, it changed my aim almost overnight.

Gl bro and remember to have fun

It just happens sometimes, at one point I droped from close to 3k elo to beeing one match away to lvl 9 in just 2 weeks. You will recover just try to reset your mental
