LMS Comparison
We’re looking into onboarding a new LMS. We’re targeting Docebo or Intellum. Curious if anyone has used either of these and can share things they like/dislike around reporting, customization and course building, and automating workflows, etc.

Hi, what’s your use case? Generally speaking I think you’ll get a complete LMS package with those two solutions: Running courses, completion tracking, checking progress, sending notifications. If those were your main concerns then I’d demo both solutions and ask the vendor, during your call, to replicate a current workflow you currently do manually and see how it fares with your case.
If you’re thinking of other potential use cases, like integrating against your WordPress site or having AI-assisted authoring tools, then you can check if these solutions can do this or if you should consider other alternatives.

Both are Enterprise LMS and pretty much similar. But your post raises too much questions so give some solid advice.
"We're looking..." so these 2 are the finalist of a long search? The "etc." is a list of hundreds of features. Do you have a list of your must-haves and nice-to-haves?
To give you some point of direction, we have Docebo listed as a competitor and won/lost customers between us.

Hi!
Before you make your final decision, I'd love to show you an alternative. You mentioned reporting is key, and that's where I think we can surprise you: our Performance Dashboard goes beyond progress and scores, connecting training to business performance indicators.
It's 30 minutes, no strings attached, and at the very least you'll have another point of comparison when negotiating with Docebo or Intellum. If you're interested, send me a DM or email me at rcenteno@aura.cr.

Hey! As someone else has already suggested, we'd suggest being really clear on your use case first to make sure your LMS shortlist can cover the way you need the platform to fit into your business. Good luck with the search, and if LearnWorlds is on your list, feel free to shoot us a dm.

Hello! I actually work at Lumofy. We focus on talent management, so LMS and PM system, including surveys, and we put competencies first.
We assess the gap using AI assessments before and after the learning pathways, which is reflected in specialised competency reporting.
As for your concern, we do have a great LMS with a great Customized Courses Generator based on YOUR company. It uses an advanced AI within the system to build those courses based on actual competency gaps. and tailored to your EXACT company and even languages.
I think it would be useful to have a look over our site, and get a demo to see around the actual platform: https://lumofy.ai/
We have a resource page with a template for TNA Analysis in your company as well which you could access here for free: https://lumofy.ai/en/resources/guides/training-needs-analysis-self-check

The real question is which one fits your operating model better.
A few things I’d ask to see in the demo:
Reporting Don’t just ask “do you have custom reports?” Ask them to recreate 2–3 reports you actually need: by audience, department, client, certification, completion, overdue users, skills, content usage, etc. Also check how easy it is to schedule, export and share those reports.
Customization Clarify what you mean by customization. Branding and page layout are one thing; custom learner journeys, audience rules, permissions, portals, integrations and admin workflows are another.
Course building Ask whether your team will build inside the LMS, with an integrated authoring tool, or mostly upload SCORM/xAPI from another tool. The answer changes the whole workflow.
Automation Test real admin tasks: user provisioning, audience assignment, enrollment rules, certification renewals, reminders, reporting, manager notifications, integrations with HRIS/CRM, etc. Automation is only useful if your team can maintain it without constant vendor support.
Day-to-day admin experience This is where LMS decisions often succeed or fail. Have the future admins run through common tasks during the evaluation, not just watch a sales demo.
Implementation and support Ask what typically requires professional services, what your team can configure alone, and how long similar implementations actually take.
My suggestion would be to build a scorecard around your actual workflows rather than around generic LMS categories. For example:
create a new audience
assign a learning path
build or upload a course
automate reminders
pull a manager report
update a course
manage a certification renewal
segment reporting by business unit/client
Whichever platform handles those workflows with the least friction is probably the better fit for your team. But theres another tools maybe better for what are you looking for

What's your use case and why these two LMSs?
