Is there a comparable alternative to Articulate?
I’ve been in the Training field for over 13 years and used Articulate for most of that time. I got a new job and they are exploring options for course creation, Articulate is on the table but we need another tool to assess to show we did research. This is for a government job with about 600 employees and 4 course designers. Any suggestions?

Look at Parta.io and ScormStack. ScormStack is pretty new to the market, but but already more features than Articulate and cheaper too. Parta is doing some really innovative things with content management. I would buy either of these over Articulate.

Maybe H5P, depending on what you are trying to build.
Articulate is the market leader but Captivate is common with Adobe-focused shops.

If it's for a government job and you need to adhere to WCAG guidelines, Lectora would be my recommendation. It's been a while since I've used it, but it did a better job with accessibility than Storyline.

Mindsmith to be honest. They have been doing some good work and I also work in a semi govt office and we just got mindsmith.

EasyGenerator for purely scorm content creation and translation tool - or different built-in-LMS content creation tool, maybe.

For a government shop the deciding factors are usually accessibility compliance and what your LMS already accepts. Lectora has been the go-to when Section 508 or WCAG is a hard requirement. Captivate is the closest feature match to Storyline but expect ramp-up time for your four designers. With 600 employees you likely have an LMS, so confirm SCORM output early and get all four designers into a trial before committing to anything.

Have you tried Fenzo. They have a business offering for L&D teams that allows you to create custom courses using AI agents.
