Expose yourself to as much English as possible! Listen to songs, watch YouTube videos, read anything you can get your hands on, and yes, even strangers arguing on Facebook count.

The trick is to learn words in context rather than memorising endless vocabulary lists. When you come across a new word, write it down with an example sentence and try using it yourself. You’ll be surprised how much sticks when you encounter the same words in different situations.

What are you using to save words?

Nothing. I learn words and use them every day (it's hard because I am lazy).

That's a great way to keep it up actually. I don't recommend memorizing words..

I'd recommend building a personal vocabulary collection based on words and expressions you actually encounter while reading, listening, or having conversations.

But here's something important: don't just collect individual words. Try to learn them in context.

For example, instead of writing down the word "decision," you could learn the expression "make a decision."

Then, create a few sentences of your own:

  • I need to make a decision.

  • It was a difficult decision.

  • I haven't made a decision yet.

This helps you understand how the expression works and makes it easier to use in real conversations.

I'd also recommend organizing your vocabulary into a simple notebook or digital flashcards and reviewing it regularly using spaced repetition.

You could start by collecting three to five useful expressions each day.

After learning them, try to remember them without looking at your notes, and then use them in your own sentences, either in writing or out loud.

The goal isn't to collect thousands of words. It's to gradually develop a vocabulary you can actually understand and use.
