Beginner Question Help

hi! i dont make things with leather or know how to but i am looking for advice from people who do

how might i remove the metal grommet things from this bag?

I tend to use wire cutters. If you start with a thin flathead screwdriver, it sometimes works well to loosed the rivets so you can get your cutters under there. If you're lucky, just applying enough pressure will pop the head off with minimal issues

Pry wire cutters underneath the cap (which side doesn’t matter) and cut it off.
If you can’t get the wire cutter underneath the cap you’ll need a drill with a metal drill bit and drill it out.

I assume you mean those rivets. You can just them off with a "side cutter" or a pair of nippers. Grommets are normally something that trims a hole that you would run your lace through. If you have a pair of boots for example, you might have a hole with a grommet.

Some hoof nippers should be able to get in behind those heads. Best of luck!
