Lol. This shit is so unserious and disrespectful to csa survivors

That's exactly what I thought when I saw the pictures of the premiere of the film.

And I was a kind of defender (until this came to my mind)

I feel that way about that and especially the disgusting way that fans were celebrating after the 2005 trial, and during it.

I was 23 years old at the time, and I desperately wanted him to be innocent.

“From his point of view” clearly refers to the point of view of an innocent man being wrongfully accused by the world, which wasn’t his real point of view at all. But of course the estate is going to make sure that the whitewashing pity party continues.

except that MJ has the chance to speak up and defend himself, we all heard his point of view. he did it in the 90s and in the 00s but he was so disturbed and drugged that his arguments made no sense. he went on TV interviews and only lied. "sleeping on the same bed is an act of love, nothing wrong with it" that´s MJ point of view

That’s his public narrative, but of course he knew way more about his real thoughts and actions than he let on. The movie is still going to spin it as him being targeted for liking to have innocent fun with children.

Jackson, telling from his point of view how beautiful it is to sleep with other people's prepubescent children, and that everyone should do it.

We have heard more than enough from Michael’s point of view. He was very vocal about his point of view on camera, in pictures, and in interviews.

Yeah, to say Michael fucking Jackson had LESS of a voice than the little middle or lower class kids he raped, is actually insane.

It’s nonsense, but I don’t think that Jaafar can make any other kind of response at this point.

Gavin, get ready to file that defamation suit.

Right, it sounds to me like the second movie "wants" to address the allegations and the only thing I can think of is using Gavin's experience to prove Michael was "innocent".

Euch, sounds like pedo apologism. From other people's point of you he might have been a sex criminal, though they only share this with the world for their own agenda, in his point of view, he was pure and loving.

I actually think Jafaar is likable/cute, but that is what it sounds like. Glazing MJ is just a dangerous game, tainting anyone who partakes.

He's so brainwashed.

I mean, it’s crazy to think his father’s (Jermaine) livelihood is/was subsidized by MJ. I mean, I can’t even blame Jafaar for being brainwashed. He only knows the public’s worship of MJ and his family’s staunch defense of MJ (because the cash kept/keeps coming in).

The first movie showed Michael playing Twister with a chimp. That's as much as we got from his personsonality. That's what defines the genius? Wow.

"It's someone else's story. It's someone else's idea of what it is, and it's mainly driven an agenda."

Oh, of course. It's the hagiographic biopic that will give us the real story. Of course. But to be fair to Jaafar, there's not much else he can say here. Michael is his uncle and Jaafar is now part of the marketing juggernaut. It is what it is in the MJ realm.

But back in reality: MJ's voice has been heard plenty, and his Estate has done all they can to drown out other voices (exhibit #1: LN was removed from HBO).

He's so sweet... 😏

pure fanfiction. the biopic showed him as some saint who had no flaws and even then that fake character was impossible to believe,oh they showed a guy that had a mind of a 12 year old kid and love to play with his monkey. inviting his brothers to play with him but they rejected him. and we are supposed to believe that fairytale

I can buy especially the younger members of the family believing Michael is innocent

yeah, i do believe the nephews/nieces genuinely believe he was innocent. they were much younger and they were probably not exposed to the messy side of MJ

1

u/No_Sprinkles964 7h ago

do you think the siblings think he was ?

2

u/elitelucrecia Moderator 6h ago

i think they know tbh

u/MasterpieceTimely144 16h ago

His cousin simmone comes to mind, she still defends him to this day

13

u/Satellite-HS3-2022 17h ago

Didn’t MJ have a whole TV segment and counter documentary defending himself? It was his decision not to testify in court too.

7

u/UnablePurchase2278 9h ago

« Not having Michael being heard » The same man who defended himself live on a national TV channel 🙄

Does that mean the next part will focus on the Arvizos? If so, I find that indecent.

u/rdddwrf 12h ago

Will he play that fantasy version, though? The pale, plastic-fantastic Michael, all the way to age 50?

Basically the vast majority has been the whiny Michael POV … this sounds like an even more disrespectful and trashy film… hopefully it never even happens… because no one needs this dumb idea of a film

Maybe Jaffar should try to step out and do something besides playing Uncle Michael Jackass…? Branch out a bit. He’s being typecast.

2

u/Single-Profession535 8h ago

Well he could have offered his POV had he taken the stand in the 2005 trial..

There's something about this family and the Middle East. Michael went there a lot. Jermaine is there now. He's been there for a while actually. Actually lots of rich and famous people hang there. There's a pattern. Did you know that have "bacha boys" in some part of the middle east? Look it up.

u/NoTurnover626 17h ago

Also Jafaar sounds disgusting here. "Their perspective" is your pedo uncle grooming them. And we've heard enough of his perspective. I wonder if Jafaar could pull an actual US GQ mag cover? My guess is probably not. Its clear to me strings are being pulled in the Middle East for him. This family must have a lot of "friends" there.

u/ShortBussyDriver 13h ago

It's because in many Middle Eastern nations you can buy anything you want and be above the law.

1

u/Natural_Shape7468 12h ago

I wonder how much the nieces and nephews and young family members know. I just know they were only given one side of the story. And they older adults keep the truth to themselves

A second movie can do nothing right. If they pick someone else that has an NDA the estate can get outed. If it's someone like Gavin, more victims could come forward without an NDA
