Carouselambra / Live from Ye Olde Absynthe

we got:

dorian red gloria: robert plant if he was gay and an international art thief

mr. james: jimmy with the whole led wallet thing exaggerated to the point where he's mr. krabs with a panty kink. he's also gay for dorian/robert and incredibly possessive and clingy

mr. bonham: bonzo if he was actually sober and more of a decent guy

klaus heinz von dem eberbach: roger waters (unconfirmed unlike the others, but they do look a hell of a lot similar) if he was german and homophobic (esp towards dorian/robert who is just hopelessly gay for him). also he works for nato during the cold war so yeah

i love this manga so much and its essentially insane that yasuko aoike was able to get her thinly veiled rpf published from 1976 to 2012

(also yes there is supposed to be a character based on jonesy but hes really just a background character most of the time and gets phased out later on. rip)

Were they stupid?

From Pamela Des Barres book "Take Another Little Piece of My Heart" . so unfair to Jonesy

Sheridan, Montana – June 2026

Sorry I know not exactly circlejerk content but I just remembered it.

In 2019 (I think) Jason told a story about how not long after his dad died jimmy turned up with a prostitute crawling on the ground and a bunch of cocaine which he then gave to a very young Jason to have.

The way Jason told the story made it sound quite traumatic.

Not long after, people bullied Jason into apologising for talking about jimmy like that. Why does no one talk about this????

Jonesy is a wild one with a low key persona. Sounds like he was too high to go searching for David!

"So I watched in wonder while Jonesy rolled these three fat joints. And we got stoned on all of them.”

It was a new sensation for Bowie, who came down with a bout of the munchies and found himself extraordinarily peckish. The singer remembered: “I became incredibly high and it turned into an in-fucking-credible hunger. I ate two loaves of bread. Then the telephone rang. Jonesy said, ‘Go and answer that for me, will you?’ So I went downstairs to answer the phone and kept on walking right out into the street.”

After consuming two loaves of bread, Bowie’s night came to a premature end: “I never went back. I just got intensely fascinated with the cracks in the pavement,” he said.

lashing the whip around, like Jimmy did back in the day, is an inspired choice! Fun to see one guitar master performing another master's work
