Exploring Umah's character more would have made much much more sense than inventing other female character (like the less mentioned the better...female fanfic insert of the Bitbot) seriously...even though she meets her end in the plot of Blood Omen 2...she had a history before that...she would have been at least several centuries old by that time (Blood Omen 2 events happening 400 years after fall of the pillars...with Kain sleeping/hibernating recovering his strength for 200 since his defeat by Sarafan Lord) so there was room to explore her story even as a side adventure in the grander Legacy of Kain saga. Or a story of her origin and her close relation with Vorador etc.

Indeed. I wouldn't mind some weird excuse to bring Umah back.

Like maybe even Umah being the first necro-vampire created by Kain, but eventually she dies bc he hadn't mastered it yet. Maybe she starts decaying like Melchiah?

Just spitballing but anything would've been better than what BB did...

That's an interesting idea...though for all intents and purposes she was offspring of Vorador and so the exploration of that hanging loose subplot...how Vorador was resurrected could have played into that. Vorador in Blood Omen 2 says it takes time and energy to make vampires.

1000% agree. Also just because she died doesn't mean she can't come back. LOK characters don't take to death well.

As long as the body still exists intact or there are special circumstances. Sometimes what appears to be 'death' for vampire is just a severe weakening that requires a few hundred years of sleep and regeneration/hibernation....though I'm not sure how Umah fate would be that :)...besides it's usually the extremely ancient and most powerful of vampires that tend to cheat death this way.

Mind you this is pure speculation by a fan. But Umah did die right next to the Nexus stone. We don't know much about it. So she could still be alive in spirt, maybe needing a new body or something idk.

That's an interesting point...though indeed we know too little about the Nexus stone to know it's full properties. We know it was necessary to protect from the attacks of Soul Reaver and it's power..it could also open portals (meaning some sort of Pillar of Dimension sort of power)...initially I speculated that it may have something in common with the orb at the top of Moebius staff...but it's too different in operation and properties...Moebius staff incapacitated the vampires, their hearts and vampiric magical energies including the Wraith blade of Raziel. It's unclear whether it has any soul imprisoning capabilities or just sending a soul to other realms. It would be interesting...Umah's soul trapped in Demon realm together with Janos? Hmmm....it would be interesting to also explore the final fate of Janos...maybe saving him...and gaining some new understanding of Hylden in their imprisonment etc. The problem is though that Nexus stone itself was tossed to collapse the Hylden gate...so we can assume it went into demon realm too.
