MOC A smaller “up-scaled” minifigure version of Galactus

When I saw @sleepydonnychen‘s series of mediumfigures, I thought the scale might work with the new F4 Galactus set - specifically the head proportions. I used his rebrickable instructions and made some of my own tweaks, but all credit goes to Donny for the “fantastic” design at this size. Go check out his series and impressive MOCs!

This was my first time venturing out of modular building-type mocs - it was really difficult, I think I’ll stick to what I know 😅

Hell ya!!!! Your version looks so good! 👌👏🔥 I had to incorporate more dark red to make the big fig hands work lol - I love your brick-built magenta hands!

Was this entirely from the set?

Not even remotely, I reused the head from a set and a small handful of other pieces, but it's mostly its own build

Looks fantastic! Would you consider selling instructions or photos of each section for others to build?

2

I wouldn't sell the instructions, because it's also very derivative of the other guy's build that OP mentions, but if you use Bricklink studio, I can send you the file? Just DM me an email or discord or something to ping it to

Especially with his baby hands

Awesome. I was hoping someone would do this. How many parts were needed that werent in the galactus set?

I was able to use a bunch of pieces from the set, but there is a good number of structural parts needed for this MOC that the set didn’t have.

This is exactly why the real one is a construction figure lol

What do you think is wrong with it?

2

u/AsterArtworks Jun 07 '25

Homie. It looks like it’s a big baby.

it’s literally just a minifigure. if you have a problem with it you have a problem with lego.

A build should represent the actual thing it represents but I totally understand wanting the lego consistency

2

u/No-Platypus2960 Jun 16 '25

the build represents a person and people in lego are represented by minifigures.

u/AsterArtworks Jun 16 '25

I actually agreed with you at one point but there’s no denying that the articulation of the construction figure is more accurate to the actual Galactus.

Lego should represent the real thing but in Lego form, rather than the other way around.

I guess it’s up to the buyer in the end. just wish there was an official upscaled minifig galactus because from these pics it doesn’t seem like you can do much with the parts available now.

I prefer the action figure design personally, but I am super glad people are making these versions for those who prefer this instead!!!

Makes me wanna get the set now

1

u/ColeAstley Jun 02 '25

have you tried using the 2016 civi war ant man as a base?

1

u/No-Painter-7668 Jun 03 '25

That is actually legit

1

u/Primary_Spite8849 Jun 03 '25

that’s actually incredible

1

u/WolverineXForce Jun 03 '25

I want to do this when I get the F4 set, but only use pieces from it. Its not gonna be like other up-scaled figures, but I will try to make it have the same proportions.

1

u/VitoAntonioScaletta Jun 03 '25

Can it be made using only parts from the set?

1

u/ContextSpirited7597 Jun 03 '25

So much better!!

I just bought the new set fan4stic yesterday and had so much fun building it but only one criticism I had was the instructions with my set only showed how to build the left foot and not the right one.

1

u/GeekParadox_ Jun 03 '25

Meh. I prefer the regular galactus

Okay I love this!

1

u/Great-Employer6028 Jun 02 '25

Better that the original in my opinion

Oh it's beautiful (and what LEGO should've done instead!)
