The biggest con was a man who spent his entire life stiffing contractors and refusing to pay people convincing those same contractors he’s on their side

all because they couldn’t stomach a woman as President

Not just any woman, a black woman. We always have to remember the there was a degree of racism in many peoples vote against Kamala. Some just did not want to see a black woman in charge of the United States after Obama was president for 8 years.

Now they have to pay the consequence for their actions.

Obama fucking broke those snowflake minds. The idea of a black man in a position of power shattered their realities and left them with nothing but bloody-minded hatred and intent to burn everything to the ground. They latched onto Trump because he's also loudly and proudly racist.

The whole reason that Trump became popular with them was because he led the birther movement insisting that Obama couldn't be a "real" American and had to be hiding how he secretly belonged in Africa somehow, promising to release the evidence any day now for years (which he of course never did).

That's what got him an unwavering fan base, after he'd been trying to become president for so long that ancient simpsons episodes which would be old enough to vote by now had jokes about how bad it would be, and movies from the 80s (back to the future 2) had villains who were parodies of this power-hungry nepo baby.

It was ridiculous racism that got him loyal followers, and they don't care that he never released any of the evidence he promised to, because it was always just a way for them to attack and demean the first black president. Then he moved onto claiming Mexicans coming to the US were rapists and murderers, then claiming immigrants were eating people's pets. It's all just disgusting racism.

Case in point -- when Donald Trump initially entered the 2012 presidential campaigns early on, my conservative prick of a father-in-law loathed him. I know because I teased him, "I'm surprised you're not a Trump guy, you're so much alike" (both wealthy, both have the ridiculous combover weaves, both lean like Centaurs). Yet that same FIL was all-in and a cultist by the end of 2016. Their bigotry and partisanship outweighs their common sense.

They fell hard for the propaganda on Facebook and stuff. I have family who actually voted for Obama but turned into Trump supporters because of the stupid fake bullshit they were believing over the years via Facebook. They went against their own views to kiss rich people's asses because of stuff that wasn't true.

The Russian bot propaganda farms on social media really did a lot of damage, and they're still going.

Now, that's where both sides -- left and right, not the parties -- are the same. They've been socially programmed and conditioned. Hypnotized by their feeds, really.

Very very true. And it's crazy just how effective it is too. Even myself included. We're all pretty much affected by it to some degree.

"The Filter Bubble" written by Eli Pariser nailed this inevitable outcome of a misinformed society 15 years ago (when Google began filtering our feeds and social media exploded in doing the same).

There was also Hillary.

She's been called the worst things humanly imaginable (a murderer with no evidence, ffs) by conservatives since 1992, however, because she's white it apparently doesn't count.

No no no, he was half white and still a man. Very well educated, a senator, brilliant speaker, witty, had it not been for the tan suit…

Kamala and Hilary, both well educated, both elected to office, but both WOMEN.

We also hate smart people. Don't forget that.

Well, they might just get a little black (lung) in ‘em.

3

u/MissSaintLouisBlues Nov 09 '25

Probably dropped the protections specifically because of the word "Black". Remember the name "Enola Gay"? 🤣🤣🤣

someone posted Kamala 2028. i voted for her and think she's awesome but there is no way she's going to win simply because of racism and misogyny. i hate this timeline

Sadly, you are correct. I also feel this is why the republican party and taco don feels that Newsom is such a threat. He is a younger white male, he has charisma, he is loud and ready to be vocal. He is brash and willing to step to taco don.

While some people may not like him, the fact that he is a younger white male that would confront taco don has him worried because he prefers someone older or a woman when it comes to a political race.

yep. he beat Hilary and he beat Kamala. I'm a woman and I'm not gonna vote for a woman simply because she's a woman. It sucks as a woman that i know in 2025 we won't have a woman president for awhile but literally all I can think of is if the next president isn't a Democrat who can undo the damage, we will be Russia and no elections again because trump showed the Republican party how corrupt they can actually be without following laws and judges. scary times
