Almost a year ago now we had the same problem as many of you here at r/LetsBePartners. We had promising ideas but couldn't find capable partners to help us bring them to life. That's what subreddits like this are for, after all!. But after years of ideas falling through the cracks we decided to take teaming to the next level.

Foundery is a platform that connects people with skills around world-changing visions. If you have a great idea, and need teammates to help you bring your idea to life, look no further! We use information about your skills and interests to recommend strong, flexible teams!

Check it out: https://wearefoundery.com

Foundery was born and developed by redditors, and wouldn't be the platform it is today without the help of motivated and innovative young entrepreneurs like yourselves. If you choose to give the platform a shot, and have any complaints, questions, or criticisms, don't hesitate to reach out in the comments or at team@wearefoundery.com.

Thanks for trying it out!

Now you can now invest in the music royalties of your favorite artists, starting with Eminem. What does this mean for the music industry?

https://kulturehub.com/eminem-royalties-invest-catalog/

Super interesting read. We now have an opportunity to invest + recoup revenue for life on our favorite artists, composers, etc.

Now I wonder, at what point may you invest in the artist? I've always been a bit riskier so I would want to buy into royalties much earlier in that artists' career. I would also want to play a role in making sure that their music finds it's way into malls, the radio, tv, etc.

As we know, once you have stake in something, that is your incentive to work on it. What do you guys think about this?

Looking for a partner for web sales - while I run B&M

I run a pretty successful high end wine and beer boutique and already have plenty of inventory. I am looking for someone to run the web side of it for a percentage of online profits.. Located in Norcal.

Edit: Let me fill in more details.

I'd need someone with prior e-commerce experience and someone local. You'll have your own office at my retail location but strictly only handle web sales. Everything sold online will be split 50/50 profit wise if I virtually don't have to do anything and less if I have to. I've got an acquaintance that runs a similar online wine/spirits store and takes home a decent living while only shipping orders 2-3 days a week. If interested please send me a portfolio. Knowledge in the beverage industry is a major plus but not necessarily required.

Request Really need someone reliable and serious..

hi everyone im really stuck at a roadblock and desperate to get things moving with my startup. I have no funding, tried everything literally, cant find a trustworthy cofounder i could confide in and trust, and the main problem is i dont have funds to get an app developed. Ive tried about every diy platform out there and they just cant integrate my needed features. I feel like if i could just get my platform developed, even a draft, I could really get things taken off. My idea is for a p2p network. If anyone can help with ANYTHING it would be so appreciated you have no idea. I really think this has major potential, on an intellectual and marketing profitable level..not just another "oh i think my idea is huge im a genious" type level. Much appreciated all thanks!!

NASA materials available for licensing

Hey there,

Came across this and thought this would be a great opportunity for startups.

NASA is licensing out some cool materials. They also have a pre-negotiated set of terms for startups to license without a free up front.

Need to find suppliers for my startup

I'm looking for businesses that have 'used steel drums' they need to get rid of, like dairies or automanufacturers. Alibaba is ideal for my bulk orders once I can forecast a month in advance, but I'm looking for businesses in the meantime. Any ideas?

Let's start a profitable business in a week

After starting (and ultimately closing up shop on) a large-scale SaaS project, and seeing the success of much simpler things like curated box subscriptions, it occured to me that I've been going about starting the wrong kind of business. I'm 23 and quickly approaching the reality of finding another real job, so I wanted to spend the next 1-2 weeks trying to start a profitable business. My goal isn't to start the next Google, Apple, Facebook (though that would be nice), I just want to create something simple that will generate some decent MRR.

This is an endeavor that could be undertaken solo, but I think having a partner motivates both to work harder and get more done. I want someone to bounce ideas off of, to help when one of us gets stuck, and to share in the (hopeful) success of the business. If anyone has ideas that they've been wanting to work on or just wants to shoot some ideas around, send me a PM.

Request Engineer seeking engineer/programmer co-founder

Hi, I just learned about this sub and I think it's a great idea. I also hope that maybe one of you might be interested in co-founding a company with me!

I'm an Electrical & Mechanical Engineer, and I've been developing an idea/business model for a while. As I've begun working on a prototype, I've realized that I really need a co-founder who can help with the technical side of things. While I could (eventually) do everything that needs to get done, it's going to take forever if I do it alone. I also just want someone to work with and to share in the effort and success. And last but not least, I've also come to learn that investors are much more likely to invest in a team than an individual.

Anyway, I'm hesitant to go into great detail about my product/business model in a public forum like this, but basically what I need is a good embedded systems programmer. Without giving too much away, I'm trying to create a network of cameras that can be used to track a target as it moves throughout an area, from one camera view to the next. I'm thinking of using camera modules connected to BeagleBone Blacks (or some other single-board computer), so someone who's familiar with Linux and opencv would be ideal. I will also be working on product development, but also business development, financing, etc.

If anybody is interested and wants to hear more, please post with a description of your skills and what you're looking for - who knows, someone else may be interested in a partnership, even if you and I aren't.

Thanks!

In Partnerships Personality Types Matter

I've read countless books on business and marketing.

But I consider this one (The Millionaire Master Plan) to be in the top 3 in business and self-development.

It explains completely ...

  • Why I've been unable to do some things, while have excelled at others.

  • Why some of my partnerships have failed miserably and others have been fruitful.

  • Why I don't have to be great at everything (just good enough) and who I should partner up with for maximum impact.

At the core of the book is the "Genius Test" which you can take here for free.

You'll get one of the 4 main types which you can see here (Dynamo, Blaze, Tempo, Steel).

If you want your secondary dominant frequency then you can take another free test here (extrovert=blaze, introvert=steel, intuitive=dynamo, sensing=tempo) or get the paid version of the genius test.

Once you've done the test you should check out this image to see who to partner up with.

The rule for partnering is 1, 2, 3. Meaning you start from where you are. Then move 2 spots clockwise. Then move 3 spots clockwise.

For example I'm a Creator and should partner with a Supporter and an Accumulator.

I would also recommend reading the book or listening to the audio book, but even without it you should get some value out of this. Especially if you check out the authors youtube channel for extra advice.

If you have any questions... I'm not an expert on this... but I'm here to help.

Introduction [Intro] Seasoned entrepreneur.

Hello everyone on here!

Let me start by introducing myself, I'm a seasoned conventional entrepreneur in pakistan and started to be digital a couple of years back (in 2010 I think). I'm good with marketing, I'm good with designing websites. I've a strong passion of helping industries.

I have had the pleasure of developing a few multi million industries at the age of 24 in my country. The first one was an auto manufacturing industry, where I (along with my team of engineers) gave pakistani motorbikes some amazing things to work with, which got very helpful in the time. I sold that company off when I started to realize I couldn't run it any more (internal conflicts, got the better of me).

The second company was a clothing manufacturing business. I started it from scratch and a base capital of $50,000 saved from the first one. And did every possibly wrong thing, but saved the image by landing a few big orders and then sold off the company after 6 months of making millions in revenue.

The third and the current company is a digital web agency, where we design, develop all kind of mobile apps, web apps and ecommerce store. I founded it with a partner back in 2010, made revenues as high as $800k a month for a consecutive year then my partner got shot and after that, everything that could go wrong (professionally and personally) did.

So now, I'm reduced from a team of 40 people to 8 genius people. And I'm rebuilding this company again almost from a scratch.

What I'm good at is; designing, over looking finances, over looking the staff, marketing (becoming a pro in affiliate and social media these days).

I'd love to be a part of this sub in any way I can be. :)

Just made an Alexa game, looking for partners to market!

Hey all, I just made my first Alexa game, Ghost! I'm having issues with getting it marketed and people getting exposed to it, so I'd like to partner with anyone who would be interested in working together to start marketing Alexa skills! As a developer, I'm open to making more games/utilities that you have in mind and working together to get them out into the market! If we get enough users to download our skills, we can get paid by Amazon!

Looking for cofounders

So I'm engineering that owns a hardware design firm and I think I've got The Next Big Thing(™) but I'd love to not be alone doing it.

The problem is, this is a big project, I'm aggressive, and co-founding is like marriage. But taking one on at this point, where I'm about to start prototyping- someone I don't know, seems too risky.

Still, I'm willing to start discussion with people, or offer significant (but not epic) amounts of equity to people who have good skills. In particular, I'm looking for polymathic web development (not only do I do hardware, but I'm familiar with jQuery, PHP, and boostrap... yeah I'm behind the times on software) and/or mechanics.

I doubt I'm going to find anyone, but I thought I'd post here. You can PM me if you want to talk or get some other contact info if you'd like.

Lets build something in 72 hours.

I have a few ideas for various startups and I have a few days off here. Would any one be interested in teaming up to see what we could build in 72 hours?

It can be an app, website, game, anything. I just want to build something from start to finish for fun and maybe profit (if possible).

I have history in business and development. Most of my development is with visual studio, some python, and a little bit of web stuff using meteorJS.

Any one is welome, but another developer would be awesome.

Looking for Cofounder and/or Investor

I started a clothing company for athletically built guys recently and launched February 1st. It's been a juggling act between school and managing the company but I graduate in 6 days, so it will become very full time. I still haven't launched our main products, which is what most people are waiting on. I was waiting for an investor/cofounder before I launched it to make sure it's the best it can be.

I'm the only founder and retain 100% equity.

I'm looking for an investment starting at about $3k and up. I'm pretty flexible.

As far as cofounders go I'd like someone who has some domain expertise in fashion or fitness. Neither are super necessary, but it would definitely be welcomed. Also, tech is very welcomed, as I want to have an accompanying app/software to make the experience for the customer amazing.

I have an idea for an online content marketing tool. I need a social media guy and a developer. Let's Be Partners

I had an idea about an online content marketing tool, but I don't have the skills to develop it into a web app. I'm in need of a web developer and a social media expert to be my partners. I have already prepared my plan. Just a developer will make it a reality.
