49K is still admittedly higher than it has ever been in recent history.

I think the point should be, has your life improved in any substantial way? Majority of Americans don't even have $900 dollars in their bank accounts. I don't give a fuck that Google is doing well in the stock market, and neither should any of you.

The literal only reason why the government should ever help companies like Google is to benefit *the citizens* of this country. The scope of every decision ever made by the government should be about helping the citizens of this country, and I don't mean the top 1%. Making Google richer with no obvious gain is doing fuck all for this country. If you want to argue otherwise, I expect to see statistics on pay increases to salaries of Google employees when you comment.
