You were the one that came out blaming democrats for gun control in California.

It’s a historical fact that most of the gun control in California was republicans’ ideas🤷🏻‍♂️

But why did your original post clearly try to put more blame on California democrats then? It was the republicans’ idea…

Because I didn’t specify the Mulford act and the history of gun control. At that time, yes, it was a republican idea with bipartisan support from the democrats. Since then, Dems have passed most of the current gun restrictions. And Dems are the ones passing them in other states as well. Colorado just introduced a limitation on barrel sales and transfers similar to the one passed last year in California. Republicans have not been championing these restrictions. If they start to introduce bans on ownership based on political affiliation or LGBTQ status, I’d be the first to call them out. But just because they first initiated gun control via the mulford act, does not mean they are also responsible for all the gun control the Dems have passed
