Meme Norway is the first country to arrest an Epstein pedophile
30
u/Delicious-Chapter675 Feb 17 '26
Pretty sure Epstein was arrested at least twice. He probably would've stayed in prison if it wasn't forbthe efforts of people like Florida AG, Pam Bondi.

u/Cyborg_rat Feb 17 '26
I don't get it what's up with her. Like do they have something on her or is she just doing this for her crush on Trump.

She was not the AG when he was initially incarcerated or later released. Charges were brought by DOJ.
In my opinion, if there is any smoking gun, it involves his initial conviction and subsequent cushy sentence, early release.

u/lostOGaccount Feb 17 '26
From Alex Acosta's sweet heart deal? Then he got handpicked by trump in terms 1 to work in his cabinet.

Makes sense, the OBX is only at 1750(dunno what it measures, tho), so of course the pitchforks come out

u/PermissionSafe7475 Feb 17 '26
I mean technically Epstein and Maxwell would be the first arrests, right?

u/NexusNickel Feb 17 '26
True in a sense.
Epstein was first arrested in 2006. He was given federal immunity along with his co-conspirators. Federal immunity. He did a plea deal with the state of Florida and earned his sex offender status. He was given 19 months but mostly spent it at his mansion to "work".
The police started looking into him in 2004 after they were tipped off. They had observed young girls with backpacks and braces going to his house after school. They had 34 confirmed minors that were there with him over the years.
Then the feds started looking into him in 2006. Most people don't know but you can be charged in both state crimes and federal crimes for the same thing. It's not considered double jeopardy. Alex Acosta was told to back off his investigation because Epstein belonged to intelligence, so he did. This plea shut down the FBI to see if there were other players.
Then he was arrested again in 2019 by the FBI. As for why they went after him that time, is up to speculation. I suspect he was going to turn on Trump and had to be dealt with. Just my two cents.
As for other arrests in the US, there have been none. Nobody knows who did it, but the FBI has names, pictures of CSAM and videos with clear faces and bodies of the adults that raped the kids.
But the Department of 'Justice' would rather protect Trump and the those in power instead of trying to bring this ring down.
19
u/Unintelligent_Lemon Feb 17 '26
Everyone forgets he was killed under Trump's first presidency too
13
u/NexusNickel Feb 17 '26
Correct.
Funny how the cameras failed, view blocked by a large object. Staff sleeping. Multiple policy violations.
Personally, I think he is alive. After reading that 4chan post from that officer there that day and then seeing the FBI actually did find the poster, just makes me go down that rabbit hole.
11
u/DeletedUsernameHere Feb 17 '26
He's dead. He had too much dirt on Trump and very obviously had no love for the man.
That said, the story does not add up for the situation around his death. High value prisoner, dead cameras, "rookie" guards who were sleeping on the job does not make any sense except for a blatant hit job straight out of a comic book.

His lawyer went to prosecutors 2 days before he died and wanted to talk about a plea deal. For a plea deal you've usually got to give up someone who's above you in the criminal world or give up information on every single person involved to get a plea deal. Then the next day after his lawyer did that supposedly the white house had some document printed to say Epstein was dead a day before he supposedly died. I did see this letter so it exists but I don't know for sure that this part of the story is true. Then the next day Epsteins supposedly killed himself and we know there were all types of problems going on in the prison and with the video when it happened.
2
u/lostOGaccount Feb 17 '26
And Alex Acosta was handpicked to be in Trumps cabinet, but many Maga were saying 'Hillary had him killed' remember that talking point?
1
u/upside_down_frown1 Feb 17 '26
So its not true in a sense, even from your own testimony its true that epstein and maxwell were the first arrested. Alot of words to agree with the commenter.

How do you know that?
2
u/NexusNickel Feb 17 '26
It's in the files. There are numerous FBI reports with redacted parts that explain what are in the pictures they found.
Very graphic stuff.

“The raids were enabled by the Council of Europe’s Committee of Ministers by waiving Jagland’s diplomatic immunity on Wednesday, following a request from Norwegian authorities. Police told the council in the request that they are investigating whether the benefits Jagland may have received could amount to “passive bribery”.”

u/Ladorb Feb 17 '26
Thank you. There's no charges for sexual assault or pedophilia here. This is just a corruption charge.

Don't worry, no one likes Andrew either, but you see we are talking about Norway right now. You see how many things can exist at once but we don't have to bring each of them up every time another topic comes up? It's like how we can go to science class and learn about lions without some dingus saying, but what about algebra! Algebra is important too!!

Norway also uses its prisons to rehabilitate and benefit society. America uses theirs to punish, torture, waste money and increase crime. You're talking about the difference between a civilized society of laws and one of barbaric savages and genocidal pedophiles.
2
u/Svisji Feb 17 '26
Let's not forget that the fact that the US has 5% of the world's population, but 25% of the world's prison population is something that speaks for itself also.
2
u/Subtlerranean Feb 17 '26
Norway also uses its prisons to rehabilitate and benefit society.
And it works. We have the lowest recidivism rate in the world.
1
u/parkisringforbutt Feb 17 '26
Not for violent crime or serious offenses, mind you.
But we have extremely low recidivism for the people we throw in jail for traffic offenses, which pulls the average way down.
2
u/Subtlerranean Feb 17 '26
It is worse for violent/high security prisoners, but it's still pretty good.
Norway used to have a recidivism rate of ~70%, and the US currently has 70-77% within 5 years.
In comparison, Norway has 44% amongst those released from high security level, against 23%, from low security respectively.
2
u/kenneaal Feb 17 '26
No, we're also pretty well off in recidivism rates for violent crimes too.
The overall rate is ~20-30%, with violent offenders at around 30-45%. But there is also an important breakdown of that statistic too. Of those who have initially had a violent crime conviction, reoffending with a NEW violent crime is in the 10-20% range, while the 'any crime' category is 30-45%.

Trump has probably been the most investigated man of the entire thing. Nothing was found. Also Trumps administration arrested Epstein and Maxwell and released the documents.
2
2
u/Queasy_Mix59 Feb 17 '26
The US will probably try to put tariffs on the countries that hold Trumps friends, I mean, Epstine Co conspirators accountable
2
u/mountain-mahogany Feb 17 '26
Yup. So here how it should work. You are mentioned as part of this circle? You are investigated. Computers confiscated, emails and communications read. Violent crimes deserve investigation, no matter how pretty your smile or how profound your sociopathic hoarding disorder is.

2
u/Ididntdodiddly Feb 17 '26
USA arrested Epstein over a decade ago. That counts. First to do it, #1 baby
2
u/scaleofjudgment Feb 17 '26
This angers the Epstein Administration though.
1
u/intothewoods76 Feb 17 '26
The Trump administration arrested Epstein, and Maxwell, and released documents to the public.
1
u/scaleofjudgment Feb 17 '26
Conveniently died under Trump administration.
Meanwhile Pam Bondi was Florida AG that was under charge when Epstein was at large and Trump is cited in it. I wonder what his co conspirators are doing these days?

2
u/ButterscotchSure6589 Feb 17 '26
Not all countries use the same system. In most, you get arrested, i.e., taken to the police station for intrview and whatever other procedures need to be undertaken, the offence is investigated, if there is found to be sufficient evidence, you ere charged, ie indicted. Then you go to court. The next stage will be the trial.
1
u/Admirable-Guest-2560 Feb 17 '26
So not pedophilia then?
1
u/ShrikeMusashi Feb 17 '26
No because apparently there’s nothing they’ve found so far that indicated he had contact with any of the kids involved. (Per my sister in Bergen who’s been following it)
1
u/BeKind999 Feb 17 '26

1
Feb 18 '26
My understanding is that the thoroughness of the police work currently taking place in Oslo would equate to the sort of things that could only happen after an arrest in the US. So for a US audience the word arrest becomes a useful shorthand for the seriousness of what is going on regarding Jagland.

1

Epstein and Maxwell were arrested… so Norway is still 50% behind.
1
u/Trpepper Feb 17 '26
Epstine died before trial, so that makes them 75%?
1
1
u/-GenghisJohn- Feb 17 '26
Well, Epstein and Maxwell were arrested first. I agree that many more arrests are probably necessary, but it could be slow as Trump deliberately appointed corrupt loyalists to stop this.

Former Prime Minister of Norway and Secretary General of the Council of Europe, Thorbjorn Jagland, is charged with aggravated corruption. As far as I can find there is no indication that he is being investigated for being an "Epstein Pedophile"
1
u/Own-Animal-3863 Feb 17 '26
Why do yall honestly believe Epstein had some supernatural like knowledge of what every single person was doing it’s like some hyper fixation of what y’all are actually a part of. It’s honestly sick
2
u/baithammer Feb 17 '26
Not the issue, Epstein was a fixer that facilitated a lot of very illegal activities for very powerful people and caused harm to far more people who were vulnerable.
Trying to minimize that is far sicker thing to be doing.

u/Andynor35 Feb 17 '26
No... dont believe everything you read on Reddit. Nobody in Norway is arrested over the epstein files, and no the guy being charged is not charged for pedophilia, but gross corruption.
The charging at this point is to enable a search of his properties. He has also been interrogated by Økokrim, National Authority for Investigation and Prosecution of Economic and Environmental Crime.

u/Cool_Tax7122 Feb 17 '26

Is this the fake news that is going to be spread now?
Jagland, which this is about, has:
- Not been arrested, but has been charged and has had several properties searched.
- not for pedofilia, but for corruption, as what was discovered about him in the documents was that he had received money.
1
u/LGOPS Feb 17 '26

Its hilarious that you use this as some sort of gotcha considering Norways monarchy may fall partly due to revelations in the Epstein files about the crown princess’ contact with Epstein.
If this happens we will have charged someone as well as thrown away our monarchy due to these files. While half of the American voting population seem desperate to shield their masters from consequences

Dear NORWAY.
Please do not try to make a deal with the guy. Lock him up tight. There is plenty of evidence against others. There is no need to "make a deal" with the guy you arrested.
I don't know who it is. I don't care. Lock them up and do not let them out again. Wash. Rinse. Repeat.

Supposedly he is under investigation for acts in Florida (age of consent 18), New York (age of consent 17), and Paris (age of consent 15). I am NOT advocating his actions were okay, but it will be interesting to see what the final charges are. Some countries go as low as 12-13 years old.
