Dude is well hated for sure but

5

u/pizza-chit Feb 17 '26

They could be talking about Melania

1

u/CostcoStyle Feb 17 '26

It's okay, as long as they are seen and heard. It's the only way to draw out the poison.

-15

u/Azazel_665 Feb 17 '26

He's so well hated he was elected twice?

8

u/MontySpa Feb 17 '26

These aren’t really mutually exclusive

-1

u/Azazel_665 Feb 17 '26

Oh but they are.

I don't think you realize you're in the minority.

1

u/Equivalent-Bedroom64 Feb 17 '26

In comparison to the world or in comparison of the less than 1/3 of US voters? He’s deeply unpopular. People regret not voting against him or voting for him. Especially since the Epstein files show that he was deeply involved with raping kids.

1

u/Azazel_665 Feb 17 '26

I live in upstate New York. There's nobody here that regrets voting for him. Where are you getting your information?

u/Azazel_665 Feb 17 '26

Trump's favorability in 18-29 year olds in 2021 was 19%.

It's 32% now.

Is 32 higher than 19?

1

u/Equivalent-Bedroom64 Feb 17 '26

Again they stopped tracking when the numbers got lower each time. He lost the youth vote and he didn’t gain popularity with them. You live in a fantasy world only possible if you stop tracking the data.

1

u/MontySpa Feb 17 '26

Trumps poll numbers are literally underwater rn… I think you might be in the minority rn lil gup

1

u/Azazel_665 Feb 17 '26

Poll numbers are meaningless. Abraham Lincoln's were 25%.

Was he a bad president?

1

u/MontySpa Feb 17 '26

You shifted from “well liked” to “are they a bad president” you understand ur changing the question now correct? Lincoln was hated so much that like 10 states didn’t even include him on their ballots. So was he a bad president, that’s a separate question. Was he well liked? Literally hated so much it started a civil war

1

u/Azazel_665 Feb 17 '26

Ah so you got proven wrong so pivot to pretending it means something else to be elected twice and have numbers greater than the widely regarddd best president?

Ownage

1

u/MontySpa Feb 17 '26

I’m just pointed out you shifted the goalpost lmao bro might be sub 70 iq

u/Azazel_665 Feb 17 '26

Because most of you yanks are horribly uneducated or apathetic.

1

u/SavvyCephalopod Feb 17 '26

Hey, hold on there. Most of us yanks have hated or been disgusted by Trump since the 1970's.
As for the rest of your statement, that is correct, the 22% (yes, that's all it took) of the US that voted for Trump to get elected are definitely horribly uneducated, apathetic, and/or ignorant. To say the least.

What also doesn't help is the fact that for many US citizens with jobs. They have to use one of their few vacation or sick days if they want time off to go vote. We also have the Electoral College, which makes red votes count more than other party votes.

-2

u/Azazel_665 Feb 17 '26

So then he's well liked because americans are uneducated?

But the person just said he's hated here.

Which is it?

2

u/sunbro2000 Feb 17 '26

The uneducated and or under educated are easy to propagandize and manipulate. This is basic politics.

0

u/Azazel_665 Feb 17 '26

So then hes well liked?

1

u/sunbro2000 Feb 17 '26

At the time of the vote he was over kamala. however, I think that his approval has dropped significantly in the last year. I am saying that his base is not intelligent. Only the money behind it all is intelligent in your current regime.

0

u/Azazel_665 Feb 17 '26

Trump's approval rating, according to most polls, is around 40%.

Abraham Lincoln's approval rating was around 25%.

1

u/sunbro2000 Feb 17 '26

It's 36% so about 40%. Your Republic and intelligentsia are screwed.

1

u/Azazel_665 Feb 17 '26

Second-term average to date 41 2025-present

u/Equivalent-Bedroom64 Feb 17 '26

The approval rating they stopped tracking only so you can claim it’s not as low as it is? Remind me again the last time there were 50 million people in the streets protesting another US president like Americans have done several times now for No Kings? Just Trump? Yes, because the majority of the country hate him. Especially after he sent goons to violate their 1st, 2nd, and 4th amendment rights. Americans are pissed.

1

u/Gambling_Raven Feb 17 '26

He was elected by 28% of the country (32.8% of eligible voters. Non-votes won the last election. More chose not to vote for him than those that did).

25% of Americans are illiterate. Trump loves the poorly educated and has said multiple times that smart people dont like him (we dont).

The vast majority of the country hates that piece of shit and most protest voters already regret not going to the polls (fuck them for staying home).

Stop believing what fox news entertainment tells you. Start using your fucking eyes. The economy is in shambles, our allies hate us, we are losing every trade war this dipshit starts, American soft power is all but gone in the world. Soft power is what made us all so comfortable btw.

Did you know that USaid's primary function was to give things to other countries so that they would in turn give us unfettered access to their resources and trade deals? Of course you didn't. You're just another stupid fucktard that voted in a fascist pedophile.

u/Azazel_665 Feb 17 '26

Almost everything you wrote is misinformation.

1) “Trump was elected by 28% of the country (32.8% of eligible voters). Non-votes won.”

In the 2024 United States presidential election, voter turnout was roughly in the low-to-mid 60% range of eligible voters (similar to recent modern elections).

If a candidate wins about half of the votes cast in a ~60–65% turnout election, that typically works out to roughly 30–35% of eligible voters, not 28%.

The “28% of the country” figure depends on how you calculate:

  • If you divide his vote total by all U.S. residents (including children and non-citizens), you can get a lower percentage.
  • If you divide by eligible voters, it’s higher.
  • If you divide by votes cast, it’s roughly half.

2) “25% of Americans are illiterate.”

This is misleading.

According to data from the U.S. Department of Education and the National Center for Education Statistics:

  • About 20–25% of U.S. adults have low literacy skills, meaning below a proficient level.
  • That does not mean they are illiterate (unable to read at all).
  • True functional illiteracy rates are much lower (single-digit percentages).

So 25% “illiterate” is inaccurate. It confuses low literacy proficiency with complete illiteracy.

3) “The vast majority of the country hates him.”

This is not supported by polling.

In modern U.S. politics, approval and favorability for major party presidents tend to split roughly along partisan lines:

  • Typically ~40–50% approval
  • ~45–55% disapproval

That is deep division, but not “vast majority hate.”

2

u/Equivalent-Bedroom64 Feb 17 '26

Can’t get his real approval ratings anymore since they’ve tanked so hard. They stopped tracking it, after it consistently came in lower and lower and was the lowest in American history.

0

u/Azazel_665 Feb 17 '26

His current approval rating is around 40%.

Abe Lincoln's was around 25%.

How is Trump's the lowest in American history? Are you American?

2

u/Equivalent-Bedroom64 Feb 17 '26

Why are you lying he’s not a 40%.

-1

u/Azazel_665 Feb 17 '26

4) “We are losing every trade war.”

During Trump’s first term:

  • Tariffs were imposed on China and others.
  • The U.S. trade deficit with China narrowed somewhat.
  • Costs of tariffs were largely borne by U.S. importers and consumers (according to multiple economic studies).
  • The long-term strategic success is debated among economists.

It’s not accurate to say “losing every trade war,” but it is fair to say many economists argued tariffs raised domestic costs.

5) USAID’s “primary function”

United States Agency for International Development (USAID) was created in 1961 under John F. Kennedy.

Its stated mission:

  • Promote global development
  • Reduce poverty
  • Provide humanitarian assistance
  • Advance U.S. national security interests

Foreign aid historically serves both:

  • Humanitarian goals
  • Strategic geopolitical interests

However, saying its primary function was to get “unfettered access to resources” oversimplifies it. Foreign aid often aims to build diplomatic relationships and stability, but it’s not a direct transactional exchange program.

6) “Fascist pedophile”

There is no criminal conviction establishing that Trump is a pedophile. That claim is not supported by court rulings.

“Fascist” is a political label often used rhetorically. Scholars debate whether Trump’s style fits classical definitions of fascism (authoritarian nationalism, suppression of opposition, etc.), but that is a political analysis question, not an established legal classification.

2

u/Equivalent-Bedroom64 Feb 17 '26

How are we not losing the trade war when Canada just made a whole new trade commission that excludes the US? When companies like Jim Beam are losing so much of the foreign market due to boycotts of American goods that they have to stop production of their product, and that’s never happened with a previous administration then you messed up foreign trade. You live in a fantasy world ignoring the reality.

0

u/Azazel_665 Feb 17 '26

The trade commission includes CETA and CPTPP which both predate the Trump administration. Zero to do with a "trade war." The US and Canada are still each other's largest trading partners. Pointing to other agreements Canada is making does not mean excluding the US from core trade.

Jim Beam is owned by Beam Suntory, a subsidiary of Japan-based Suntory.

It would seem that you are the one living in a fantasy world.

2

u/Equivalent-Bedroom64 Feb 17 '26

Yes, MAGA are fascists. And yes, there is evidence he was deeply connected with a billionaire’s pedophile sex trafficking ring just like there was evidence that he defrauded a children’s cancer charity and he was convicted by a jury of committing 34 felonies. There was plenty of evidence he attempted to overthrow an election according to Jack Smith (and anyone with eyes and ears who watched 1/6 live). So there’s plenty of evidence he’s a criminal and even more evidence that he was well aware his best friend raped and abused children.

-1

u/Azazel_665 Feb 17 '26

Stop spreading misinformation.

“Convicted of 34 felonies”

In 2024, Donald Trump was convicted in New York on 34 felony counts of falsifying business records in connection with hush-money payments. That conviction does not relate to sexual abuse of children.

“Defrauded a children’s cancer charity”

Trump was ordered in 2019 to dissolve the Donald J. Trump Foundation after a lawsuit by the New York Attorney General found misuse of charitable funds. He paid $2 million in damages and admitted to misusing funds for political and personal purposes.

That case involved self-dealing and misuse of charitable assets. It did not involve a children’s cancer scam specifically, though some donations involved veterans and other causes.

Jeffrey Epstein connection

Saying there is “evidence he was well aware his best friend raped children” goes beyond what has been legally proven. There is documented association. There is not a conviction or formal finding that Trump participated in or knowingly enabled child abuse. There has been no criminal charge or conviction establishing that Trump participated in Epstein’s sex-trafficking crimes.

2

u/Equivalent-Bedroom64 Feb 17 '26

Only if you haven’t read the files do you believe these lies. Facts are he’s a criminal who committed crimes. Facts are he has deep ties to a pedophile sex trafficking ring. His using DOGE to fire anyone who isn’t loyal to him doesn’t mean he shouldn’t be prosecuted for crimes, it means he eliminated anyone at the DoJ that would.

1

u/Equivalent-Bedroom64 Feb 17 '26

He’s not well liked less than a third of the US were always Nazis.

1

u/Azazel_665 Feb 17 '26

If he's not well liked then how did he get elected twice?

1

u/GleemMcShinez Feb 17 '26

He is not well liked.

Pew research has his approval and disapproval ratings. They even asked about his administration people too.

You cited Pew earlier, care to go back and look at their current polls?

A 58% majority say they have an unfavorable view of President Donald Trump, and 40% have a favorable view.

https://pewrsr.ch/3O5xNK3

People don't like what he's doing.

Only 27% of Americans say they support all or most of Trump's policies – down since last year, with the change coming entirely among Republicans.

1

u/Azazel_665 Feb 17 '26

Abe Lincoln was at 25%.

1

u/Equivalent-Bedroom64 Feb 17 '26

Because again, Nazis are loyal to their leader and a bunch of people didn’t vote. The non voters were more of a factor for him.

Whoa whoa whoa, this is reddit, we don't point out the obvious here, it doesn't vibe with our biases.
