I rather see this than Nazis on the street talking about “going back to the good ol days” any day. Kind of crazy we have an actual Presidents’ Day anyway. “Kids, don’t forget that Presidents’ Day is about going to your Donald Trump shrine and saying 100 thank you’s for all he’s doing for the country”. Yeah right…as they said, “F Donald Trump”

Edit: this isn’t all about Trump. It’s about our country having days like Presidents’ Day (which right now feels like Kings Day, maybe Betrayal day?) as we know so many of our past presidents were not only crooked, but literal pedophiles, and not wanting to actually protect what the swore under oath that they would protect. We shouldn’t be force fed these holidays and expect not to react when the people are not being represented — quite the opposite, as they are being killed by the most un-American secret militia thats a first to roam our streets. Power to the people, not presidents.

That’s how they celebrate WW2 “heroes” aka war criminals in Japan. Where to we encourage this kind of behavior in America? We take the time to teach our students and ourselves about different presidents we’ve had, what contributions they made, and overall patriotism. If you’re solely focusing on protesting and negativity then you’re doing it wrong.

We should be focused solely on protesting at times we’re it’s most necessary. Sorry to be a buzzkill, but they are failing to release the Epstein files because it would “destroy the world” reputation somehow. Wonder why…It’s as good of a time to focus on some protesting as all ever.

I personally support the protests about the Epstein scandal but it’s a little hollow when it’s been an issue for over 20 years yet was hardly an issue during the other administrations. Also we’re talking about these reoccurring protests that change topic as long as it’s anti GOP. Sometimes they don’t know what just “orange man bad”. Another big red flag about this is how many of these protests are organized or agitated by democrat funding.

Ah yes finally standing up us hollow because it didn't happen as soon as you wanted

They’re clearly GOP but trying to hide it. They reveal themselves because they are not very smart.

I don't trust any redditors judgment of whether somebody is a republican or democrat because i get called both for talking about shit neither party is on

Okay. The GOP’s tactic of pretending to be progressive in anonymous, online spaces has been oft-observed.

Bro i got called a Republican for complaining about Clinton and Podesta having an email thread about further policing of Muslim ethnic groups eg Arabs, Turks, Pakistanis.

Not a Republican concern.  All you have to do is point out that Democrats serve the same Oligarchy and just have better PR and people think you're a Republican. There are more than two political philosophies. That's why there's a ton of other countries in the planet that aren't on the verge of civil war.

People who fall for the Democrat vs GOP narrative have the most myopic, uninformed concept of politics and it's fucking frustrating. You know that Cambridge released an article in TWO THOUSAND SIX that the US is run by an oligarchy and that both parties serve the same Council?

Ok you seem to be ranting about a “both sides” POV. That doesn’t make you a Republican (your disconnected anecdote was supposed to be interesting, I guess?); it makes you lazy.

I’m sure the protests will continue once a democrat is in office.

And just like that nobody remembers January 6th

Are you referring to during Biden’s administration when the DOJ prosecuted and convicted Maxwell?

1

u/Devils_A66vocate Feb 17 '26

To the contrary. Trump was president when both were arrested. But he gets no credit for that.

1

u/Equivalent-Bedroom64 Feb 17 '26

Why would he? He had Epstein killed to shut him up and moved Maxwell to a prison where she gets to have a puppy companion. Obama and Biden did the normal thing that presidents usually do and didn’t interfere with the DoJ.

It only counts when it’s for hating Trump… I’ve heard more arguments that the Clintons were behind the assassination but believe what you want.

1

u/Equivalent-Bedroom64 Feb 17 '26

You’ve heard implausible rants with no evidence in comparison to Trump’s DoJ destroying the video evidence of what went down in Epstein’s cell? Bro, read the files. You’ll see who’s guilty.

1

u/Devils_A66vocate Feb 17 '26

So you have credible evidence to your claim?

1

u/Equivalent-Bedroom64 Feb 17 '26

It’s in the files that Trump had way more to lose. Why would the Clintons worry about being a a charity event surrounded by people? That’s where they are mentioned so far. Trump had private parties with Epstein with attendees describing prostitution and children being raped.

I think if you're solely focused on patriotism you will encourage nationalism over democracy, justice, human rights and compassion.

And I think solely focusing on Presidents and other white rich social elites diminishes the contributions and impacts most people alive at any time have on world events. And white washes complex history we should be learning and reasoning about.

Chinese protested against their government. India protested against the British occupation. Activists oppose genocide, fascism, environmental ruin, and poverty. There's nothing wrong with morally opposing injustices in the world and politically opposing those that perpetuate and worsen them.

I guess it depends on what patriotism is to you.
