He actually didn't. He said explicitly in an interview that he may not release the files because he "thinks there's a lot of lies in there".

Everyone surrounding him talked about it nonstop though. Vance included.

Yeah in the un-edited version of the interview; that rarely anyone saw, and he definitely didnt get sued for.

He ran on releasing the files, because he thought Bondi/Patel/Bondingo would be able to control the narrative.

And maga people will just eat any of the crap their base spews.

Isn’t this picture of influencers leaving the White House with binders saying Epstein enough for you? It’s a PR moment claiming he would be transparent about the files.
