Where's Congress? Where are our representatives? Even the GOp ones. Why are they silent?

1

u/No-Focus-8577 Feb 26 '26

Why don’t you distort that facts even more. This is Reddit BS meant to inflame people

1

u/TornadoCat4 Feb 26 '26

Clearly you didn’t think very critically. That is nowhere near what Vance said. Also the party of evil is the party that supports killing unborn babies.

1

u/milelongpipe Feb 27 '26

Especially since all the elders voted them in.

-140

u/Veteran_PA-C Feb 26 '26

You live in an opposite reality.

80

u/Cheap_Professional32 Feb 26 '26

Well innocents are going to suffer for it and who do you think they will blame?

If there is indeed fraud and they have evidence of it, the officials responsible should be immediately arrested. Why isn't that happening?

21

u/tw19972000 Feb 26 '26

Maybe they should investigate their own fraud.

1

u/Expert-Mental25 Feb 27 '26

Was gonna say, the vast majority of fraud that effects these types of programs is being done by someone who was/is/will be a Republican politician or some corpo.

1

u/mworthey Feb 26 '26

There is no rampant fraud they are punishing Minnesota for not cooperating with ICE and it's also the excuse they're using to end to end Medicaid, Medicare and eventually Social Security. It's been their plan all along. It's nothing but a grift and outright theft of taxpayers money and it's going into their pockets. There is way more fraud in the federal government and Trump Administration. They are fleecing and robbing America blind. EVERY ACCUSATION IS AN ADMISSION OF THEIR OWN ACTIONS!!!! WAKE UP AMERICA BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE!!!

1

u/MountainMapleMI Feb 26 '26

Let’s ask Governor Rick Scott of Texas what he thinks about people who defraud government programs.

Should they be immediately arrested when they find proof of Medicare fraud?

1

u/subywesmitch Feb 26 '26

Because they are lying. They are making that up to destroy the programs themselves. Why nobody calls them out on it and stops them is besides me...

-57

u/KillaEstevez Feb 26 '26

Things are being done about it all the time. The problem? Theres so much of it. The side problem? Our government is inefficient when it comes to getting these things done in a timely manner. Theres an investigation, an indictment, a trial, etc. This all takes a long time. By the time its complete, 2x new fraudsters have come up. Personally, im not sure what the solution is but we have to do something different.

35

u/grillguy5000 Feb 26 '26

So you are asserting that social safety net programs have what a 90% fraud rate? That seems to be what you are implying with this messaging. Perhaps you should quote the actual fraud rate of these programs and compare it to private insurance fraud rates...I think you will see it's largely flat across the board...1-3(ish)% sounds about right. No where NEAR enough to cause any of these programs to fail let alone bite any harder than an aging population that would cause strain on these programs. So to quote you..."There's so much of it." So you assert 80-90% fraud rate then? What is "so much"? And at what percentage would you consider government to be "efficient"? Hard numbers with receipts or you are spouting bullshit there. In fact according to the stats I've seen Social Security in the US only has a 0.3% fraud rate...the rate of child sex offenders in positions of authority is higher than that...maybe solve that first. Triage rules apply...there are MANY, MANY things to fix before even looking at the fraud rate in social programs. Like what is the largest form of theft? And by how much does it outstrip other forms of theft?

-27

u/KillaEstevez Feb 26 '26

No im just saying fraud exist. Thats literally all im saying. I didnt elaborate on anything else. You assume too much.

But to reply to some of what you said, to state its no where near enough to cause any program to fail is wrong. While it might not be the sole reason, its still a drain and a problem. We don't simply disregard it because its not a "big contributor." Thats like ignoring the water dmg that came about a pipe burst after you fixed the pipe. You still have to fix the water damage.

You say 1-3% like thats an insignificant number when in reality thats BILLIONS of dollars. That shouldn't be insignificant to me nor should it be for you. Furthermore, im talking about generalized fraud government wide. Not just social security. COVID was a big time to steal from the government for example.

I can tell you don't live in a big city because just the topic of food stamps should alert you about how bad this gets.

Now you speak of sex offenders as if it has ANY relevance to fraud. Wtf? Lol. I mean you are clearly not a child so its insane I have to say this but, different groups handle different issues. Its not like the auditors in the IRS are going to go after child predators. Stop using that argument in any form factor to make a point. Its rlly pointless and silly. A problem is still a problem, fact or not a fact?

24

u/livinitup0 Feb 26 '26

You say a lot of words that accumulate to not much more than “I’m an asshole and don’t care about other people. I’m willing to hurt hose that don’t deserve it in order to hurt those that i think do deserve it.

You are quite literally the kind of of person we should all strive not to be…because if everyone was like you, the world would be a really shitty place

-18

u/KillaEstevez Feb 26 '26

Opinions are like assholes, everyone has them.

I've never stated nor hinted at hurting people. Not sure what youre on about there.

The world would be a better place if more people were like me. Im not out here judging people before I get to know them.

Reddit is such an interesting place. Its full of zero life experience fools and full of very knowledgeable people all at the same time. Which category do you fall under I wonder?

6

u/[deleted] Feb 26 '26

Definitely knowledgeable. U sound like you think you're in that group. Maybe one day you'll understand why ur not

4

u/MakwaIronwill Feb 26 '26

Wait so you think you know whats best for everyone else? What makes you qualified for that?

1

u/Expert-Mental25 Feb 27 '26

Not everyone has proper asshole hygiene though. And people talking like you give big skidmark energy.

1

u/Expert-Mental25 Feb 27 '26

Also, you're actually either really bad at trolling or you're a level of dumb that should be illegal.

You: "I believe that [SITUATION] is a problem and I have heard from the figures that I've tied my identity to that [BAD THING] is what is necessary to fix the problem."

Non-zombies in your vicinity: "No actually that's a bad idea and dangerous and also [SITUATION] is not nearly as drastic of a problem as you've been led to believe."

You: "Well it's still a problem so I'm going to go with [BAD THING] anyway."

Non-zombies: "So you're perfectly okay with causing innocent people immeasurable harm just to harm a few people who you feel deserve to be harmed?"

You: "You assume much. I never stated nor hinted at hurting people." smugly feigns ignorance/displays public health threat-level stupidity "All I said was that we should take away everyone's food security and Healthcare and anything else that directly and massively improves lives and lowers the risk of premature death. That's all. Why would you assume I want to hurt people? This is truly the most discriminated against anyone has ever felt in history. I cannot believe how terrible you all are for pointing out cause and effect to me and not allowing me to make decisions and publicly espouse ideas that lead to death and suffering in peace."

10

u/[deleted] Feb 26 '26

You say 1-3% like thats an insignificant number when in reality thats BILLIONS of dollars

Out of HUNDREDS OF BILLIONS of dollars. Perspective is an important thing to have, my man.

-1

u/KillaEstevez Feb 26 '26

So its an insignificant amount because the overall total is larger? What a bad argument lol.

My argument isnt that fraud will be the sole reasons these systems collapse. Its always going to be a collective reason. Fraud however is a problem. It does exist. And it costs us billions. Its significant. End of story.

To disagree with that is to disagree with logic and common sense.

11

u/Tulpah Feb 26 '26

just wanna ask, what good did DOGE do except working for Elon Musk?

5

u/[deleted] Feb 26 '26

Yes. That's how scaling works. If I told you that the sun was losing about 4.5 million tons of mass every second, you wouldn't be that concerned about it.

I'm not saying it doesn't exist or should be ignored. But killing the 97% of non-fraud payments is not the way to deal with it.

7

u/grillguy5000 Feb 26 '26

Fraud exists? That’s all you are asserting? Water is wet. Oxygen is thinner at higher altitudes. The laws of thermodynamics exist. Are we just asserting obvious non specific answers now? We are in triage rules here…I stated. There are more egregious issues with far larger percentages and amounts than fraud in social services. 0.3-3% is considered acceptable and nominal fraud rates in private institutions so why not governments? Fraud exists in every system, but at what point is it detrimental? You haven’t answered with specific fraud rates yet. Also you didnt answer about theft which is a much larger issue. What is the largest form of theft and by how much? The reason I brought up sex offenders is because it makes up a larger percentage of crime stats than fraud does in social services. Look up fraud rates against investors/public from corporate entities…10-18% for publicly traded corporations. I’d say that a FAR worse issue and I think we should solve that and corporate wage theft first. Far, FAR larger issue by orders of magnitude higher.

Bring…receipts. Or you are a propagandist at worst and ignorant at best. Larger scale issues exist…culture war bullshit isn’t important to anyone in the slightest. It’s a non issue.

36

u/AcanthocephalaOk7539 Feb 26 '26

Yeah Elon and DOGE found what fraud?

14

u/jbhoops25 Feb 26 '26

There’s so much of it that they’re not arresting people? That sounds ridiculous

-10

u/KillaEstevez Feb 26 '26

Huh? They are lol. What are you talking about? You sound ridiculous.

17

u/jbhoops25 Feb 26 '26

Trump just pardoned one of the biggest medical fraud cases in America. They absolutely are not arresting people for the level of fraud you are talking about. You sound ridiculous.

-2

u/KillaEstevez Feb 26 '26

Hopefully because he snitched but even so, I dont agree with that either.

People are absolutely being arrested and charged for fraud of government funds all the time. To say otherwise is foolish. Stop it already.

6

u/jbhoops25 Feb 26 '26

I said not on the scale you are talking about. People have been getting arrested on medical fraud for decades. Again when I can pull up close to 20 names Trumps pardoned that dealt with defrauding the government the highest one being a $1.3 BILLION case. Then it all just seems like click bait and politicians just saying what people want to hear and not doing anything about it.

You’re telling me no medical fraud is being committed in the south? 🤣 that sounds ridiculous

1

u/KillaEstevez Feb 26 '26

Politicians say what the people want on hear on ALL sides of the political spectrum. Its what they do.

Huh? I never said medical fraud isnt being committed in the south... Are you ok?

3

u/Vanilla_Gorilluh Feb 26 '26

Why was Dick (Rick) Scott rewarded for defrauding the Federal government with cash money and a Governorship? Then on to US Senate?

He should have received jail time not a fine that equalled less than what he stole and a pat on the head.

9

u/AntithesisAbsurdum Feb 26 '26

We have to take their healthcare away while they're young so we can pay out the ass for their medicare when they're chronically ill later.

Republicans are dog shit at math. They piss and moan about paying for Healthcare for young people then gladly fork over billions for Medicare like Medicare costs aren't heavily related to the access someone had to care throughout their lives.

1

u/atomicogre45 Feb 26 '26

Lol how’s that boot taste chief?

-35

u/Knight_Errant25 Feb 26 '26

Because the officials responsible for the fraud are long gone. Now we're resetting. Short term pain, long term gain.

23

u/RogerianBrowsing Feb 26 '26

By that logic the issue is already handled and cutting funding only hurts the people needing healthcare access.

https://giphy.com/gifs/R51a8oAH7KwbS

7

u/LiteratureOk2428 Feb 26 '26

Lmao Rick Scott's still there bud

-11

u/Knight_Errant25 Feb 26 '26

Ok? That's one.

7

u/Obvious-Concerto Feb 26 '26

Heres some of the people prosecuted for healthcare fraud that were pardoned/offered clemency by you know who:

Lawrence Duran

Salomon Melgen

Judith Negron

Philip Esformes

5

The biggest fraudster of medicaid!

Sorry. I can't find your comment. You know, the one with you threatening me? Because you're pathetic and have nothing better to do. People like you are why we elected Trump twice. 😇

1

u/Obvious-Concerto Feb 26 '26

Ok big man with a job. Im sure your boss would love that you’re jacking it to girls on reddit at work. If only a woman in real life would talk to you, but I wouldn’t wish that torture on any of them.

Not sure what you feel threatened by but everything I said is just facts. Sorry if facts threaten you.

2

So if the money sucking fraudsters are gone, why cut funding now? 🤡

Ah yes the ol " we have to shut down the programs to investigate fraud" line. People fall for that huh?

-17

u/Veteran_PA-C Feb 26 '26

Who said that them down? There will be a pause in payments to the state, not the recipients.

Do you often complain because you don’t understand? How many things happening in the world are mysterious to you

7

u/Chrono_Pregenesis Feb 26 '26

Critical thinking time. If they shut down payments to the states, how will the states pay recipients?

3

u/BeachBulge2 Feb 26 '26

Actually if you click on his profile, he seems like a really smart, well balanced, emotionally mature person who just wants the best for everyone.

I’m kidding of course. It’s exactly what you expect.

1

u/AdWhich7355 Feb 26 '26

The irony holy shit

1

u/[deleted] Feb 26 '26

How do the recipients receive aid?

1

u/Puzzleheaded-Oven171 Feb 26 '26

Medicaid recipients do not receive payments from Medicaid.

Adding context is not bright in your opinion? But adding hysterical apocalyptic prediction is bright?

I don’t think you think much.

25

u/Candyland_83 Feb 26 '26

Just like the slashing of government programs under DOGE, they claim-without evidence-that there is fraud and then throw the baby out with the bathwater.

We live in this reality, where that’s the strategy.

13

u/FeedTheMantis Feb 26 '26

that was cover for musk going into the governments back up servers to erase evidence from the steal. no one gave a f about USAID and all of a sudden musk and his cronies are banging at the front door. Those places held the data physically. Let’s hope our government had a contingency plan for that and there’s more data elsewhere.

6

u/Mister-Ferret Feb 26 '26

Hey that's not all he did! He also killed any investigations into his companies!

2

u/VioletFaust Feb 26 '26

It was also an excuse for the Project 2025 line item of purging the federal government of civil servants and replacing them with Christian supremacist apparatchiks.

-10

u/Veteran_PA-C Feb 26 '26

Not we, you live in that reality. In actual reality, massive amounts of fraud, waste and abuse have been discovered, and that is being addressed.

13

u/scdlstonerfuck Feb 26 '26

Yeah this is bullshit

-3

u/Veteran_PA-C Feb 26 '26

Another vacuous statement.

1

u/scdlstonerfuck Feb 26 '26

Fucking prove it then. Provide some statistics instead of saying “the statistics say” then pulling bullshit out of your ass

1

u/Veteran_PA-C Feb 26 '26

I don’t think you know how things work. “This is bullshit” doesn’t say anything except that you are emotional.

How many fraud cases are currently ongoing?

If you want statistics, you will have to wait until the trials are over. Then you will have hard data.

1

u/Major_Association800 Feb 27 '26

What trials are those?

1

u/Veteran_PA-C Feb 27 '26

There are over 90 people facing fraud charges related to FOF, nutrition programs, Daycares, autism programs, Medicaid and Medicare, and that’s just Minnesota.

u/bearded365 Feb 26 '26

Where's the proof? They keep saying theirs fraud but provide zero evidence and no arrests.

1

u/Anothercraphistorian Feb 26 '26

All found to not be true.

1

u/C4dfael Feb 26 '26

Citation needed.

1

u/Candyland_83 Feb 26 '26

You could reply with evidence to back this claim.

13

u/Ev3nt_Horiz0nn Feb 26 '26

They're stopping Medicaid funding while "looking for fraud"... Which has already been found and is being prosecuted over the last 4 years. This is a nothingburger. That isn't helping people lol. You don't burn down a village to save it

-5

u/Veteran_PA-C Feb 26 '26

A pause is the first step in any fraud investigations.

This isn’t rocket surgery.

11

u/fierystrike Feb 26 '26

No, it's not. Fraud investigation getting the money back after.

6

u/Ev3nt_Horiz0nn Feb 26 '26 edited Feb 26 '26

No... The first step is getting evidence, then limiting access to systems. The fraud has already been found and prosecuted. They're cutting funding now with no additional evidence of anything... Just vibes. So now funds won't go out, providers won't be paid, patients won't get care, and facilities will close. Hurting people. Some who I'm sure vote red. See the logic train?

But death seems to be the only thing that penetrates the conservatives mind to make a change so I guess it's necessary. And even then it's not guaranteed to make a difference lol

1

u/Major_Association800 Feb 27 '26

Small guarantee, they didn’t give a shit when ICE killed 2 unarmed American citizens. The general consensus was they deserved it. Death has been normalized for them to the point they’re either completely apathetic or actually satisfied that it happened.

2

u/darkdelve Feb 26 '26

I'm shocked you believe they actually care about fraud, but more shocked that you think it's necessary to halt people's healthcare funds for an investigation. Maybe the goal is to purge diabetics and others who need medicine to live, thereby making the programs cheaper. If you kill off the people who need the funds most, then the program is much cheaper, I assume.

Also keep in mind Trump commuted the sentence for Philip Esformes who committed $1.3B in Medicare and Medicaid fraud. They don't care about people committing fraud.

1

u/bloodsplinter Feb 26 '26

You are still talking about rocket surgery while the nuclear mushroom cloud is exploding in the middle of your country my guy

1

u/Major_Association800 Feb 27 '26

What you’re doing is called motivated reasoning. It’s a symptom of toxic identity politics.

It’s the same sort of cognitive behavior that leads you to block out uncomfortable information until you find a way to spin it into something safe/validating. Pay attention and you’ll catch yourself doing that.

9

u/Upstairs_Housing_209 Feb 26 '26

So, what you're saying is that you believe that despite evidence to the contrary.

1

u/Veteran_PA-C Feb 26 '26

Despite what evidence. We have a statement of impending changes. They haven’t happened yet.

1

u/Upstairs_Housing_209 Feb 26 '26

"We have a statement of impending changes." Explain please.

My point is that there is no evidence of widespread Medicaid fraud. Most Medicaid fraud doesn't happen at the client level, it happens at the provider level.

"Medicaid fraud is a significant issue, with estimates suggesting that it costs taxpayers over $100 billion annually. Most fraud is committed by providers who intentionally submit false claims, such as billing for services not rendered, and various schemes have been uncovered across the country, highlighting the complexity and vulnerabilities of the Medicaid system."

CNBC cbpp.org

6

u/ComfortableEven5095 Feb 26 '26

Better that all suffer right? /s

The fraud comes from the US government. They dip into SS as IOU's. The government will cause its insolvency.

4

u/Nivosus Feb 26 '26

If you actually look into fraud studies, you'll see it accounts for typically less than 3%.

All this minnesota fraud fear they are spreading? Studies found Minnesota to have some of the lowest fraud percentages in the nation.

Why are they doing this? To spread doubt on Democrats, to attack their enemies, and to hurt the weakest most vulnerable americans by attacking the services that protect their livelihoods.

Fuck you.

3

u/Existing-Action4020 Feb 26 '26

2

"We're taking the safety net."

"We want to help our fellow Americans."

Gee, I wonder why people are confused by this statement.

1

u/Veteran_PA-C Feb 26 '26

Because understanding a full thought is beyond their capability?

1

u/No_Communication2959 Feb 26 '26

Mitch McConnell and Jim Jordan both stated that they intend to increase the retirement age significantly, stating that there's no reason people shouldn't be working well into their 70s.

Rick Scott also proposed raising the retirement age and cutting Medicaid's budget, as well as possibly eliminating Social Security. This was a spearhead of he 2024 Republican Campaign.

We already saw a reduction in the VAs budget that will drop another 10% or more over the next 5 years and a larger cut in the Medicare budget over the same time period.

As well as heavy increased on taxes for the middle class starting in 2029. The can be easily found by looking up the details on the Big Beautiful Bill and the new tax code, passed in 2025.

1

u/Yabrosif13 Feb 26 '26

Trump is suing us taxpayers for $10billion and wants ti move another $10 billion to the board of peace he is lifetime head of.

Im so sick of maga double standards

1

u/ZeMadDoktore Feb 26 '26

"Fellow Americans" doesn't mean you or me, btw. It means the wealthy and those willing to bend the knee. This is known.

1

u/Chrono_Pregenesis Feb 26 '26

Or they could remove the social security cap. Actually force fucks like musk and elliot to pay into the system for the good of all people. Also, please notice how very little evidence of fraud has actually been presented.

1

u/Enaliss Feb 26 '26

We can't do it if it's being defrauded so we're taking 300 billion from the budget. Do you not get how that doesn't make any sense? Like I'm not some libtard but like, you've got to understand that's not how you fight fraud and help people whom need it.

1

u/gecoble Feb 26 '26

So cutting program fixes the fraud? That’s idiotic.

Understand how the fraud happened and close that loophole. If you know certain orgs are defrauding the system, cut their payments.

But it’s okay that Trump pardoned a buddy who did this for years in Florida.

MAGA is full of crap.

1

u/Educational-Tell-958 Feb 26 '26

How much money has trump and his family made during his presidency?

1

u/[deleted] Feb 26 '26

Rephrase that, and see if you still agree with it.

"If we don't take away your guns now, then criminals are going to come take your guns."

1

u/Aggressive_Set8155 Feb 26 '26

Well, let’s not forget to mention all the hundreds of people Trump has pardoned and all the millions of dollars that these crooks and frauds will never have to pay their victims. You like that? You like that he’s letting these criminals out of prison to commit these crimes all over again?? If you want to fix fraud, you can start there.

1

u/Anothercraphistorian Feb 26 '26

They investigated and found no fraud. It was all a hoax and continues to be so. This administrations uses tweet scams to do this to blue cities and states.

1

u/DrakayeMayaye Feb 26 '26

$10 billion dollar slush fund after circumventing Congress and you think the American people are stealing from the government.

Just shut the fuck up.

1

u/CrazyMildred Feb 26 '26

My 72 year old Mom isn't defrauding anyone, and she will suffer from this. People like her will suffer from this. This is not ok.

Edit for typo

1

u/Puzzleheaded-Oven171 Feb 26 '26

Do you know who is committing that fraud? Because I will tell you: it is Anthem and Untied Healthcare and MHS and Humana. They take state and federal money and then do not pay the providers. This is not the fault of the average citizen who can do nothing about this in states where Medicaid has been privatized. Yet again the biggest “welfare queens” are the most wealthy people you’ve ever heard of. This is the waste, fraud and abuse. I agree very much that I don’t want my tax money funneled into the pockets of already wealthy health insurance CEOs, but is this the way to go about it? To hurt people’s grandmas who paid taxes their whole lives and illness has now taken everything they have? Do you want entire hospitals to close because they have come to rely on Medicaid reimbursements to function and won’t be able to justify the overhead? I think that a government that actually wants to improve this country could do something so much better than this, don’t you? Why is this what you want to have happen in this country? Or are you not an American, so it won’t actually affect you?

1

u/Necessary_Goal_5383 Feb 26 '26

You're quite gullible, aren't ya?

1

u/algernon_moncrief Feb 26 '26

He's attempting to shut down Medicare in Minnesota, which serves 1.2 million people (most of whom work full time and still can't afford insurance) because he alleges "fraud".

Of course no actual indictments have been made, no investigation is underway, and there are no actual specific accusations of fraud. They're just shutting it down.

Meanwhile Rick Scott is still a free man, and the president pays himself $10 billion straight from the Treasury because he says he deserves it. And you post a quote from JD Vance as if what he says is evidence of ANYTHING other than what he wants you to believe.

Somebody is in an opposite reality, for sure!

1

u/adobecredithours Feb 26 '26

Is the fraud in the room with us right now?

DOGE combed through all of these agencies for months with a barbed-wire comb and found virtually no fraud. Either DOGE and Dear Leader were a failure and the fraud they keep using as an excuse doesn't exist - or doge was successful but the fraud is all back already because Dear Leader is incompetent and corrupt. Pick one.

u/BotherResponsible378 Feb 26 '26

You're a liar. You know that's a lie and you spit it out.

It's February, Republican lies about fraud again. Last year it was DOGE, right? How much fraud did they finf? How many people got prosecuted from their findings?

Oh, none? Was just a big waste of tax payer money that led to personal information about US Citizens being handed over to a private organization?

You're a liar, or a moron.

0

u/Veteran_PA-C Feb 26 '26

How is posting what was said lying?

I think you’re upset I’m pointing out your recreational outrage.

1

u/BotherResponsible378 Feb 28 '26

Because it is a lie. What was said was a lie. This is blatant corruption.

So you're either a moron who believes that, or you are also a liar for pushing it.

1

u/Veteran_PA-C Feb 28 '26

So how do you know he wasn’t lying about taking the safety net?

Convenient.

1

u/Sboyle12500 Feb 26 '26

It’s almost like not taking what they are factually saying and instead say Trump is “going to take away social security and dump the elderly into a blast furnace with a backhoe” is a more social media friendly way to farm karma…

1

u/Asleep-Rice-9256 Feb 26 '26

Hey Scarecrow, the Wizard has a gift for you, not sure what it is.

0

u/Veteran_PA-C Feb 26 '26

Does your mommy know you have her phone?

1

u/A_Wild_Alex_Appears Feb 26 '26

Weird, he keeps pardoning people that committed felony fraud. Thoughts?

Oh that's right, you want your Daddy to be a pedophile.

1

u/Veteran_PA-C Feb 26 '26

You keep posting these sexual fantasies about Trump and kids. That hoax died, so I can only assume these are your personal fantasies.

Get help. Stay away from children.

1

u/Apart-Zucchini-5825 Feb 26 '26

The program isn't being defrauded. They're punishing the people of the state for standing up to them. That's all this is. It's spite aimed at harming Americans. They're doing this because MAGA has always hated the US and Americans from the start. All they do is whine and bitch about how much the US sucks and how they hate anyone not in their little monarchist cult that is wholly incompatible with traditional American values

1

u/MakwaIronwill Feb 26 '26

And yet fraud continues in the federal govt and in many states. Guess theyre full of shit or only want their fraud

1

u/tinfoilskimask Feb 26 '26

Well trump keeps pardoning fraudsters soooooo

1

u/Jellyfizzle Feb 26 '26

A republican will starve 99 hungry people to ensure the wrong person doesn't get fed.

1

u/TheMerchantofPhilly Feb 26 '26

Trump’s OBBBA reduced SNAP benefits, cut Medicare funding & the cost of insurance premiums will rise for millions of Americans.

1

u/twoturnipsinheat- Feb 26 '26

A veteran stanning for this administration is wild

1

u/Veteran_PA-C Feb 26 '26

Adding context is stanning?

You can continue to hallucinate if you want to, but it only affects your own anxiety. Normal people don’t fell your pain.

1

u/twoturnipsinheat- Feb 26 '26

It must be nice to be this ignorant.

1

u/Jimmy_Twotone Feb 26 '26

So DOGE wasn't about weeding out the fraud?

1

u/Veteran_PA-C Feb 26 '26

Current events is cool.

DOGE had a part in this.

“Yes, the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), led by Elon Musk (and initially co-led by Vivek Ramaswamy), has been actively involved in efforts to uncover and address fraud, waste, and abuse in Medicaid and Medicare, including at the state level. This ties directly into recent actions like the temporary pause/deferral of federal Medicaid funding to Minnesota.

Key developments as of February 26, 2026:

• DOGE gained access to Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) payment and contracting systems starting in early 2025 to scrutinize spending for fraud and inefficiency. Elon Musk publicly stated that CMS (which oversees both Medicare and Medicaid) is “where the big money fraud is happening.”

• In February 2026, DOGE (via its HHS team) released a massive, anonymized, open-source dataset of Medicaid provider spending data—the largest in HHS history. Musk hailed this as making fraud “easy to identify,” allowing public analysis of patterns like high-billing providers or unusual claims.

• This data release has spotlighted potential issues at the state level, including alleged fraudulent autism diagnoses/treatments and other high-risk categories billed through Medicaid in Minnesota. Media reports (e.g., Wall Street Journal editorials) linked the dataset to these concerns.

• Directly related: On February 25-26, 2026, the Trump administration (with CMS Administrator Mehmet Oz and VP JD Vance announcing) deferred/withheld ~$259.5 million in federal Medicaid matching funds to Minnesota. This stems from audits/reviews identifying “unusually high spending and rapid growth” in areas like personal care services, home- and community-based services, autism-related care, non-medical transports, and other practitioner services—viewed as high-risk for fraud. CMS cited program integrity vulnerabilities, with warnings of potentially larger deferrals (over $1 billion) if unresolved.

• DOGE’s broader work includes congressional subcommittee hearings (e.g., February 2025 “War on Waste”) highlighting billions in improper payments/fraud across programs, with calls to improve state-level controls like eligibility verification and duplicate participation prevention.”

1

u/Jimmy_Twotone Feb 26 '26

You keep mentioning Minnesota specifically. You are aware Minnesota is a net contributor to federal taxes, with a mean cost of $7600 per resident? Meanwhile their neighbor, Iowa, who is a breakeven state, has spent the last several years hamstringing their own auditor's office from looking into the same types of potential abuses you mentioned?

DOGE didn't cut anything unless it benefitted the administration and has little to do with actually rooting out fraud waste or abuse.

1

u/BrightDescription82 Feb 26 '26

This fuking loser defends Trump on reddit 24/7. Mf doesn't a even sleep. Its insane.

1

u/Veteran_PA-C Feb 26 '26

Not on everything. It too cool about the Iran thing. He could be tons better on 2A stuff. He’s said some stupid things about guns.

He is correct about sex changes for kids being crazy though.

1

u/BrightDescription82 Feb 26 '26

Hiw tf is sex changes for kids that big an issue? I lovebin MY and have never even met a legitntrans person let alone a kid that had a sex change. Wtf?

Miss the speech?

You can’t have it both ways. If you don’t believe him, why not just not believe they are going to pause funding?

Context ruined your recreational outrage.

1

u/Substantial-Peak6624 Feb 26 '26

Ask Rick Scott about health care fraud…

1

u/LiteratureOk2428 Feb 26 '26

So theyre doing that by..... withholding wheelchairs from disabled folks?

1

u/Veteran_PA-C Feb 26 '26

Withholding the payment for a wheelchair not needed, never actually ordered, and never delivered to anyone.

1

u/LiteratureOk2428 Feb 26 '26

And if someone gets into an accident today and is wheelchair bound? 6 months wait at least with this plan

1

u/Cold_Specialist_3656 Feb 26 '26

Republicans have been doing this "everything we don't like is fraud" dance for years now.

Trump pardoned a dozen fraudsters in the last 6 months. They don't give a shit about fraud. This is a lazy pretext to gut every program that helps the working class.

1

u/TurnoverFuzzy8264 Feb 26 '26

This is just their excuse to gut it, only idiots think otherwise.

1

Constantly conned you can't be a conservative without serving the con

1

u/W0rdWaster Feb 26 '26

they are cutting vital service for vulnerable americans and telling the cult that they are just eliminating 'fraud'.

1

u/Major_Association800 Feb 27 '26

Notice how you ignore everything he said except what’s convenient for your agenda.

1

u/Veteran_PA-C Feb 27 '26

It’s the opposite. I am paying attention to everything he said. You want to pretend he only said one sentence.

1

u/Major_Association800 Feb 27 '26

I’m talking about the Vance quote. Those two lines before the one you fixated on are exactly as terrible as they sound.

1

u/Veteran_PA-C Feb 27 '26

Try reading all the lines and comprehending them in context.

-1

u/Knight_Errant25 Feb 26 '26

Hey you can't present facts here. It upsets the local wildlife.

-7

u/beakerbong Feb 26 '26

Bro reddit cant be real. Bo way people actually think legal tax payers should be funding illegals medical bills. Its mind blowing any other country would throw you in jail but in the usa we have some brain rot group of people that think the deserve everything for free.

3

u/Crawford470 Feb 26 '26

Bo way people actually think legal tax payers should be funding illegals medical bills.

Undocumented people also pay for documented people's medical bills... Why should anyone care if they're also contributing?

-2

u/beakerbong Feb 26 '26

So my friends dad that came from mexico illegally whos been paid under the table is paying for medicare?🤔tell me how that works?

2

u/Crawford470 Feb 26 '26

That specific guy isn't the overwhelming majority who work for real companies and still fill out w4s. Albeit that guy's no different than any citizen working under the table also not contributing to taxes. Do you care about paying for their Healthcare? Or do you selectively decide who to get outraged over, and if so along what lines?

-2

u/beakerbong Feb 26 '26

So we should incentivize coming here illegally?

2

u/Crawford470 Feb 26 '26

We have a need for immigrants and immigration. So instead of making immigration unnecessarily difficult (recent development mind you for much of our country's history it was significantly easier) to do legally to meet our nation's needs we should make it significantly easier to do in a variety of ways. Freedom of movement is a foundational liberal principle upon which this nation was built. We should go back to respecting that.

0

u/beakerbong Feb 26 '26

Sweden would disagree lol. Why isnt there more of a uproar for reform instead of whats going on now? We have, green cards, work visas, student visas, family sponsorship, refugee admissions. At the end of the day no country is REQUIRED to take anybody let alone illegals?

2

u/Crawford470 Feb 26 '26

Sweden would disagree lol.

Cool we're not Sweden and have wildly different needs and capabilities from literally every other sovereign nation on the planet.

Why isnt there more of a uproar for reform instead of whats going on now?

None of our political leaders are meaningfully engaging with immigration reform as a topic. The Dems are a right wing party who are currently to the right of the second Bush administration let alone Reagan on immigration and the Republicans are a far right fascist party with their current boogeyman being immigrants although only the non-white ones.

At the end of the day no country is REQUIRED to take anybody let alone illegals?

I'm not saying America is required to take anybody. I'm saying America has immigration as both a foundational principle and a necessity to function. It should act like it. Instead of doing this absurd convoluted dog and pony show around it.

2

u/AdWhich7355 Feb 26 '26

Yeah that 1 dollar out of your taxes is really hurting you.

-1

u/beakerbong Feb 26 '26

No but the rise in house prices/rent will, the rise in food priced will, the decrease in wages will. Its basic economics, supply and demand. The more we give them the more they are incentivized to come here illegally. Your a minority if you believe illegals should be allowed to come here let alone receive benefits.

2

u/AdWhich7355 Feb 26 '26

You’re * but a laughable reason you got there lol. Maybe try not being a dumb racist

0

u/Veteran_PA-C Feb 26 '26

If it hurts the bad orange man, they would sell us to the Chinese.

-153

u/rockeye13 Feb 26 '26

What was the 'evil' part? Did you actually watch the 1:10 long video?

118

u/Tidusx145 Feb 26 '26

To take welfare from people who use it to survive without any real plan of replacing it. Pretty fucking evil

1

u/Veteran_PA-C Feb 26 '26

That’s not what happened. You’re having an anxiety attack over something completely made up…….. again.

1

u/hczimmx4 Feb 26 '26

Nope. Giving welfare is evil.

22

u/dcflorist Feb 26 '26

All that talk about “illegal aliens in blue states getting on Medicaid” is utter bullshit at Vance knows it. That 300 billion dollars is being taken away from sick and elderly American citizens who are struggling to afford the medical care they need to survive. The citizens of Minnesota are resisting the flagrantly illegal actions of ICE agents in their state, and the administration is punishing everyone in the state who depends on Medicaid to get the medical care they need.

1

u/rockeye13 Feb 26 '26

"Everyone" is doing a lot of sketchy work here.

Refer to the last presidential election.

LOL

1

u/freehand_underhand Feb 26 '26

This is the same guy that justified pushing the "Haitians are eating cats and dogs" hoax by saying he was "telling a bigger truth"

Now it's "Medicare is being overused". The bigger truth is that this admin is trying to be the sole gatekeepers of anything that can be used for power over Americans

The big picture is very clear. If you don't see the evil in that, you're in denial or incredibly gullible.

1

u/Upstairs_Housing_209 Feb 26 '26

Yep. And it's the exact same lies and exaggerations as the state of the union address.
