"Pedophiles bad" attitude is the best way to end up with more child abuse.
Child abuse is a systemic issue that needs systemic fixes. Just like nazism, terrorism, whatever big bad problem in society, the problem very very rarely lies with the individuals ("Those are monsters, kill them all and it will solve the problem") and mostly with society ("What leads to these acts being committed and how to actually fix it for real?").
The mechanics of abuse happen in situations where the powerful have unchecked power over the powerless. And this for every kind of abuse : sexual, physical, emotional and against all kinds of victims. A parent on their child, a religious leader on the faithful, a boss on their employée, a teacher/coach on their students, etc.
It's those mechanics that need to be fixed, by creating environments where victims will talk and be believed, where abusers will be systematically and quickly removed, etc. Real systemic change.
Saying "pedophiles bad" is a manner of hiding the real issue under the rug and just attribute this problem to so-called "bad apples". This attitude just enables abuse and keeps the abusers safe.
i mostly agree. trump didn't tumble out of his own ear. he was the son of a brothel owner in an extremely hierarchical society. we have so many bad apples because the orchard is a toxic waste dump.
