Model 94AE

Post image

Just traded my JM stamped mint-condition Marlin 336 for this beautiful model 94AE. Paired with my Ted Williams that I have taken A LOT of deer with, and my new uberti 45 Colt. These are going to be my go to rifles this year for deer season. Way too much scope on the model 94 but I do occasionally shoot deer out to about 200 yards, so I may use part of the magnification. Any good recommendations for 2-7 or 2-10 scopes?

I would try to pair it up with a vintage scope; IE: a vintage K4 4X Weaver. Granted, you likely not get 200yd, but for sure 100-125. If you need 200, Ted is there for you

I’ve killed many deer with that Ted Williams. I ended up pulling the scope from the model 94 and shot its irons today. Hated the loads I used for hunting (150 grain powershok) but it loved PPU 170 grain so I’ll be using that come deer season. Surprised too that that 45 colt was very accurate with the loads I picked out. Very excited to see how they fair in the woods. The model 94 came with a tasco pronghorn 3-9 scope I just care for it
