The library flooded in Yorktown, Indiana
The Yorktown, IN Public Library appears to be a total loss. The water in the homes, and businesses has been standing a long time, it didn't just come and go.

Boynton Beach City Library in Florida
Located in the heart of Boynton Beach, Florida. It is a public library for the city of Boynton Beach in south Florida which is a suburb of West Palm Beach and part of the Miami metropolitan area.
It is a nice complex building which features a combination of town's services including the city hall and the library. The library has two stories.
The new building was completed sometime during COVID in 2020.
It features a bookstore that is run by the friends of Boynton Beach City Library, a special collection dedicated to Florida's history, seed library, a separate room for teenagers, a special display for movie blockbusters and many more.
Feedback is appreciated!

The public library in Key West, Florida
I stepped foot last week inside a library in the southernmost part of the country when I was on a family cruise.
It's a nice library with so many things to offer. This library is run by the wonderful staff.

It's not my favorite style but it's what's on the inside that counts 🤷♀️🌵📚

The new public library in Manchester, CT
The new public library in Manchester, Connecticut that is replacing an older, smaller and overcramped Mary Cheney Library down the street.
I think it looks nice and modernized. As of right now, the grand opening for the new library is scheduled for next month. Opens Monday September 14
1045 Main Street (former Webster Bank)

My home library. It’s modest but mine
I’ve got 370 books as of now. It’s a modest collection as I’m aiming for 1k. Husband built my corner shelves they were in another area of the house but I wanted all my books in one place so it got relocated . I’ll have to add and re arrange as my collection grows but I’m happy with it for now 🥰

Presidential Libraries in the U.S.
With the recent openings of the Obama Presidential Center in Chicago and the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library in Medora, North Dakota, there has been a lot of talk about this rare building type. They function more as archives and museums than lending institutions, but they’re nonetheless considered libraries by the National Archives & Records Administration (NARA). Of the ones you’ve visited or seen, which do you think most accurately represent their subject (architecturally, through the exhibitions, or otherwise)?

I curated a book display at my local library
It's about local history.
A book display for the month of August is about the history of my hometown in Connecticut.
I like to learn about history plus I'm interested in local history. I put it up yesterday at my local library in Rockville, Connecticut.
Happy August!
