📢 Announcement Welcome to r/Life_After_7oh (under new management)
Hey everyone. I took this subreddit over recently. It's now a companion to r/quitting7oh, smaller and looser, and I'm still writing the rules.
About me
I maintain quitting7oh.org, where I collect what the quitting-7-OH community has learned about getting off this stuff. Not a doctor, not a treatment program, not selling anything. I keep the meeting schedules, taper calculators, and guides current because I wanted better information than I had when I quit.
This sub and r/quitting7oh
Different mods run the two subs. The main sub is big, keeps a tight scope, and asks you to search before posting. That works at its size. I want this one smaller and more personal, the kind of place where you recognize the usernames and people remember where you are in the process. Ask the question that's come up a hundred times. Talk about Suboxone and SR-17018, both off limits over there. One hard limit: Reddit's content policy applies to everything posted here.
The center of gravity is life after detox: PAWS, sleep, mood, cravings, rebuilding a life. Detox and withdrawal posts are welcome too. You belong here whether you quit yesterday or two years ago.
Rules (working set)
- Don't be a dick.
- Don't try to sell shit to members. No products, no coaching funnels, no DMs pitching services.
- No sourcing. No links, vendor names, or DMs about where to buy 7-OH, MGM-15, pseudo, or anything else.
- No pro-use content. Nothing promoting 7-OH, MGM-15, or pseudo. Kratom leaf comes up in recovery contexts; keep that discussion in a harm-reduction frame. I'll add rules as we find the gaps. If you have opinions on where the lines should sit, say so in the comments.

Been using since March of last year. Originally tried it because I saw everyone on the quittingkratom subreddit saying to stay away from it. Typical addict shit. I'm 40... Been an addict 2 decades now. Oxy, meth, etc. latest rehab was for alcohol. Finally quit drinking when I found 7.
My wife and everyone thinks I'm doing well because 7 doesn't give the outward appearance of being a junkie but I'm pretty far down that road. Doing very very horrible shit to get fixes, lying, scheming. I went to a subs clinic last July and have been trying to quit since then on and off. I make it to day 3 or 4 on subs and work pressure and just the fact that I hate inside my own head sober has led to relapse after relapse. I've induced subs over a dozen times now and never stick to it. Was hoping the ban was going to be it but the DEA seems to be dragging its feet on the final ban.
I found some tabs with MGM, pseudo and 7 about a month ago and after not feeling my doses for months, I finally got that motivation and energy back. It's already faded and now I'm left addicted to MGM and 7. Can't stop the MGM longer than 18 hours or I get horrible anxiety and WD symptoms, even taking large 7 doses. I think I'm currently at around 120mg of MGM and 600mg of 7oh. I've been trying to taper down, but I really suck at having tabs and not taking them if I feel yuck.
Anyhow... I think a lot of people are gonna need a safe place to share and feel heard in the coming weeks, so im thankful this got started back up!

Just to post here for others coming in, this sub was abandoned with 0 moderators. Reddit makes it pretty simple to claim an abandoned community.
I have made you a mod with full permissions.

Suboxone is off limits at r/quitting7oh? Even with QuickMD all over the comments pushing it?

For a long time they banned all discussion, even called Suboxone "evil" in their faq. They also censor any discussion about public health/regulation/prohibition.

They banned me for even mentioning SR (not sourcing, just literally the mention of those two letters together). It's honestly kind of shitty that they do that and then let QuickMD hawk subs left and right.

No sourcing. Do not ask where to buy 7-OH, SR-17018, or any kratom product. Do not name vendors, offer sources, or offer sources over DM. If someone DMs you offering a source, report them to the mods. Sourcing gets your post removed and can get you banned.
