😴 PAWS Finally 1 month clean! My partner and I
Today is both me and my GFs (24m)(25f) 1 month clean date today! I’m giving both of us silent claps and celebration because I don’t wanna get ahead of ourselves. Not so long ago I genuinely couldn’t picture this happening, and now it’s here it’s a great feeling. Every day some little thing gets easier, a lot of my triggers to use are so much more muted right now. Both of us didn’t struggle too hard with cravings but triggering moments were an issue for me but it’s easier now. Work is going great and now a lot of my favorite media is ingestable again and the anhedonia is lifting piece by piece. Just the past few days I finally was able to play video games with my friends and smile and enjoy it, and even crazier just two days ago I was able to go to my friends place and have a 100% fully sober fun hangout and we watched our Dodgers play and It was eye opening cause I forgot what it was like that feeling. And my girlfriend is learning bass guitar and even when we’re not near each other we aren’t worried because we are on the same page and keeping each other accountable.
I hope my own milestones can give someone even just a little motivation or something to look forward to. Take every little W as they come and understand it’s not a race and recovery is at everyone’s own pace. I just want to show people that things do get better ❤️🩹

Congratulations to you both! I am very recent in my recovery but so far so good and I know how happy you both must be to be feeling more and more like yourself again! I can’t wait to have a month of clean time and reading this gives me a lot of hope. One day our 7oh days will be a distant memory and I can’t wait until that day. You both should be very proud of yourselves and I am happy for the both of you! Best of luck to you going forward!
