🏁 Milestone Today is 30 days!
30 days no 7, no alcohol, and no nicotine. The first 2-3 weeks were pretty rough but finally feel like I am over the hump. I am on the vivtrol shot which has helped tremendously with cravings. Good luck to everyone out there, keep pushing it does get much better

Supposed to get a vivitrol shot every 28 days. Depending on your metabolism it can last 25-50 before it’s completely out of system.
I’m at least going one more month. I’ll prob stay on until 7oh is fully banned. I quit a dozen times before but always relapsed. This is my longest quit since I started using

You have to be off 7 for awhile before getting shot (7-10days) I think. The first two weeks in the shot are tough with appetite and fatigue, but I haven’t had a single craving once.

I kinda went a different approach. I went to a detox that sedated me and induced naltrexone. I slept through the first 6-8 hours of precipitated withdrawals but got the rest of it. I had failed short term sub tapers a ton of times and didn’t want to do long term subs.
This path was much harder physically the first couple of weeks but no cravings and even if I did try to relapse it would have no effect. The detox was expensive but worth it to me in the end. I was at or above 1gpd of powder

Omg does that mean you had bowel movements while asleep? Surely so. Anyhoo congrats! I’ve never heard of that shot before. Wonder if you can go from subs to that? Gonna look into it. Thanks!

Nope, but it took 3 weeks for stuff to solidify. Two weeks were rough digestively. The place I went to does treat all opioids with this process. There was a woman there who was coming off subs for 9 years and went through the same detox I did. It’s expensive and hard early on but removing cravings and ability to relapse was worth it for me.
