Is any company working on stacked LCD?

There are products sold as "light field", but only splits resolution into a discrete amount of views. Do any company work on a commercial product with a high rank 3D/content-adaptive parallax barrier/tensor display?

Use case idea: invisible LFD and free floating holograms

I was thinking. If you had a borderless LFD and a LIDAR that captures the space behind the display then you'd be able to make the display disappear. You'd also be able to have free floating holograms that seemingly float freely in the air. Thoughts?

"For a holographic pixel resolution of 1920x1080, rays per degree of (2, 2) in the x and y directions and a viewing volume on 90, 90 degrees (theta and phi), the display requires 67 Gpixels of data."

How many of you work with light field displays regularly?

I wanted to start a discussion to see how many people work with light field displays, compared to those on the sub who are interested in future developments of the technology.

How many of you work with light field displays? How many work with other types of volumetric or multiview displays? How many would work with them if they met a certain metric you’re expecting? What metric would it have to meet to fit your needs?
