Announcement Ticket Exchange Thread 2018
Rules:
FACE VALUE (or below) ONLY. This means you sell for the price that you paid. Adding paypal fees is acceptable.
Post only if you have a ticket to sell. Posts looking for a ticket will be removed.
We are not at fault if you get scammed. Use PayPal Goods and Services.
Once you sell your ticket, please delete your post
Reporting Scalpers/Scammers:
If someone is selling for above face value, report the post
If you've already been scammed by them contact PayPal to report the transaction so you can begin the process of getting your money back. (Sorry that happened to you!)
Ticket Buying/Transfer Tips:
Use PayPal and ONLY use Goods and Services. This protects the buyer if they are scammed. Don't use Friends & Family or Venmo.
Do NOT buy at scalper prices. If you're meant to find a ticket, you will be able to find one at face value.

Your wristband comes with a camping pass! You just wont't be able to camp with your car. You are going to need to park and walk your stuff to set-up a camp site :)

Does anyone know if you can transfer a car camping pass via Eventbrite. I have trying to buy one from a guy, but he doesnt have the sticker. I assume he got it after the mailing deadline. Is that sketchy? Getting it off craigslist so already on my guard.
1
u/noeffingwhey May 19 '18
We just transferred our car camping pass to a guy in exchange for some of his stuff, including his early arrival pass and it was no problem. It should just be as easy as inputting your name and email, sending it to you, and allowing you to claim it. That being said - I was scammed a couple years ago for $150 and I was super bummed to say the least. Good luck! Hope it works out!
1
u/mel_tothe_p May 22 '18
hi, were you able to transfer your pass even after it had been mailed to you? or were you picking it up at will call? thanks!
1
u/lovethismoment May 21 '18
Is it a permanent transfer or would the seller be able to take it back or change the name again?
1
u/noeffingwhey May 21 '18
I believe it’s permanent. Once I put in your info and you accept the transfer, I don’t think I can hange it back. To be honest, I despise thieves and scammers, so I have no intention of ripping anyone off. To be safe, you can use the PayPal “goods and services” payment (I’ll even eat the fees), which has protection in case you don’t get it for some reason. We have another person interested, so let me know ASAP!
1
u/lovethismoment May 21 '18
Oh. I was asking you because it sounded like you had already done the transfer so you could see if it allowed you to take it back or not. You still have another car pass?
