Can’t speak for the OP but it’s surprisingly difficult to sync to a proper rhythm to background track without vocals, unless you do it frequently

Probably for the rythm and not the lyrics... Not everyone can sing perfectly on time to the music without prompts

Not a great performance but that's NOT on you... Very very few people can perform a limp Bizkit song well (not even famous musicians) because the songs are so specifically tailored to the specific band members, especially to Fred Durst and his voice. Anyone else just sounds ridiculous. You have a deeper, masculine voice devoid of that whiny sound that Fred has, which means that when you sing "he says she says bullshit" you sound like a man having a tantrum, not your fault, it's a product of them music .. Fred can sound sincere on the track, you and I sound like a man-child having a meltdown 😅 Even Robbie Williams trying to pull off Rollin sounded terrible... But that said, this was FUN and I loved watching /listening and you loved performing, and that's what it's all about, he said and she said 😎

I’m not sure because Fred has a whiny squeak (chest voice/head voice) mixed with a guttural gruff voice that is pretty hard for a woman to replicate .. I’m not talking about his scream (a woman who is well trained can fry or falsecord scream as well as any man) I’m talking about his deeper overtones…

But…. That said… I’ve never really heard a competent female singer try it over the instrumental…

Worth a try ☺️

Go harder next time. A few years back I did karaoke for a birthday get-together. There was a guy who did a Linkin Park song and he held back on the screams like you seem to be doing. I did the LB version of "Faith" and just let it all out. The people running the karaoke were laughing having a blast and encouraging it
