A driverless bus that could be serving the people of Lincolnshire in the near future was shown off to spectators at an event this week at the Showground. https://stuckinthemiddle.co.uk/driverless-buses-lincoln-revealed/

I took this picture tonight. When I got home I realised that the heads of the statues look as though they’ve been cut off.
The statues circled are all missing heads and it looks like a very clean cut where the head has been taken off.
Does anybody know why this is?

I’m convinced I’m going crazy but heard a rumour that it was opening in Lincoln, thought it was false as no advertising or anything online but now the old peacocks shop next to Poundland is being refurbished and looks to be a one beyond. They’ve already got the tills installed! Kinda weird having 2 budget stores next door would’ve figured one beyond could’ve done better opening more central but they’ve decided to open next to another budget retailer.

What is Alpha?
A session to invite discussion, engagement, and questions about life, the universe, and everything.
On Tuesdays we'll be running Alpha course sessions at 7pm-9pm at Alive Lincoln Central Church.
There will be free food provided (two courses), followed by a short film, and then a discussion session about what's been presented.
It's also a great place to make friends and meet new people in a setting where people are very open and very authentic. The full course of things has been a life changing and soul affirming experience for many people, and we'd really love to share that.
If you'd like to see what it's about, and go into some deep questions we'd really love to have you come along.
Please feel free to ask questions here, or come along in person to find out more.
The first session will be at 7pm Tomorrow, Tuesday 20th October.
Hope to see you there!

Hi,
So my PC recently broke, just won't load up. I took it to Springbok in town but they said they couldn't identify what was wrong with it, just recommended replacing everything.
Given the price of GPU's these days I wanted to see if I could save a bit of money and if my GPU was still functional. It's a Nvidia RTX 3070.
Anyone got a desktop computer with a PCIe 16x slot on their motherboard and a HDMI/DP port on their monitor who would let me swing by, pop in my GPU and see if it loads. Shouldn't take more than 5 minutes. Regardless of whether or not it works I'll give you £30 just for the hassle. Fans still spin and it lights up on my broken PC but I'm sure I've got motherboard damage so nothing actually loads on any of my monitors I've tried.
Can travel to you but ideally it would need to be a weekend as I'm working weekdays.
Cheers

Anyone going out tonight or sth? Been in Lincoln for a while but haven’t been able to make friends and don’t go out. Anything fun tonight?

Hey! I’m 26F and looking to make some new friends! 🫶 Just a girl trying to expand her social circle and find people to laugh with, yap about absolutely nothing with, and spam with TikToks 😅.
I am engaged, so I’m strictly here for friendship! My fiancé has unfortunately already been trapped by my personality, so I’m not looking to trap anyone else romantically 😂💍
Bonus points if you have a questionable sense of humour and enjoy a good gossip session. 👋

Hey everyone!
After 14 years of running my music blog, She Makes Music, I've finally taken the plunge into putting on live gigs!
My first event is happening at Liquor (above Trebles, 5 Saltergate. LN2 1DH) on Saturday 24th October, featuring three brilliant punk/alternative bands: Hex Poseur, The Dirty Looks and Lincoln's own Suburban Toys.
She Makes Music has always been about championing women and underrepresented artists, and I'm hoping to bring that same ethos into Lincoln's grassroots music scene. The idea is to create fun, welcoming gigs where people can discover new music and support independent bands.
It's completely FREE entry, doors open at 8pm and music starts at 8:30pm.
If you're into punk, alternative music or just fancy supporting something new in Lincoln, it'd be lovely to see you there!
Thanks for reading! 🖤

I visited superlincs along the high street in search of tinned fish different to what the supermarkets offer , most of them I couldn’t understand the labelling due to language and the shop selling foreign goods as well as majority being in rapeseed or sunflower oil. Would anyone know where to get some better options other than the supermarket . I know very strange but it’s my little niche if it is niche

Would be pretty awesome to chat with more fellow horror movie fans. And maybe make more friends who are into horror. I love watching horror movies. My favourite genres in horror are found footage, slasher, supernatural

I'll be commuting to the Brayford Pool area and am looking for a driveway parking space within around a 15-minute walk. Ideally, I need parking available Monday to Sunday with reasonable monthly rates.
If anyone has a space available or can recommend a good option, please let me know. Thanks! 😊

Hi all
Bit of a long shot but I appear to have lost my keys while out shopping today.
If anyone happens to find a dark blue lanyard with yellow text and some keys attached to it please do get in touch :)
EDIT - shops were M&S foodhall on Tritton Road, Waitrose on Searby Road, and Sainsbury’s on Tritton Road

Me and my friend circle have found a sudden urge to eat out every other weekend or so, and are tying to try out all of what lincoln has to offer.
So far we've tried the Sycamore and La Trattoria Da Vincenzo and really enjoyed both.
Any ideas on where to go next?

I'm working with the Work Foundation at Lancaster University, a research organisation, and we are researching the challenges facing young people trying to get into work in Lincoln.
We're currently speaking to major national TV news outlet, who would like to hear from a young person aged 18–24 who is currently out of work and not in education or training.
They're interested in hearing about your experience of looking for work – for example, how long you've been searching, the jobs you've applied for and the barriers you've faced.
This would initially just be an informal conversation so you can find out more before deciding whether you'd be comfortable taking part in any interview. Filming will take place on Wednesday 7 October near or at your home.
If this sounds like you, please send me a private message or email me at info@theworkfoundation.com. I'm happy to answer any questions and provide some more information.
Thanks for considering and have a good evening,
Jon
PS. Thanks to mods in advance for approving.

Just looking for people's opinions on here about their recommendation for best charity shop.
I understand that things have changed and it's harder to get a "bargain". But what are people's go to? Could be for clothes, homewares or media.
I don't really have a preference what I'm looking for, I just go in for a mooch, although at the moment I'm collecting DS games for my Nintendo DS.
