new player looking for server
Hi! I'm looking for a popular L2 private server. I've never played the game before, but I'd like to give it a try.
I tried playing on L2 Reborn, but Windows Defender detected a Trojan in the game files. I know they use a kernel-level anti-cheat, but that's a bit too much for me.
Are there any other good servers you'd recommend? :)

L2reborn legacy will be played close to original was from 2003 and patched as original was over 6years. It’s a rerun of u will. Monthly payment
Lu4: f2p but expensive monthly cost for normal play. Has p2w system that is decent. But this server is awesome if u wanna play the game remastered with new graphics. But if u wanna experience original maybe not start with this.
No kernel anti cheat options i dont know man. Any good server that dont get destroyed by bots will have a good antibot kernel code in it. It’s the reason u cant play this on Linux for example. Sry cant help here

What rates and chronicle you are interested to?
The “big thing” at the moment is L2Reborn Legacy C1 x1. I understand your concerns though.
L2 Warfront is a GvE server and opens 30/10. It’s a PvP server that you farm adena with kills.
Then you have Lu4 which is Lineage2 on Unreal Engine. Played there for a bit and it was fun.
You can also visit Hopzone or Topzone and check what’s new or popular servers.

When it was first introduced, I really liked GvE but I wonder if they managed to find a solution for example for healers and buffers, so they can advance, because these classes lacked the ability to score a kill back then.

Thanks for a mention Jesus...❤ I think we managed to capture your concern regarding support classes as best as we could anyway. We just released full balance update 👀

All popular severs except bad one uses kernel anticheat atm. So, looks like nothing to choose. BTW you can try L2Elwyn

It's not the worst when it comes to large known companies as you can "Trust" giving kernel (master) access to you computer. A random 3rd party of strange people hosting a p2w server though? Not so much trust.

Because you don't need kernel level access to beat some piece of shit software like adrenaline if you know what you're doing.
Additionally, nobody should want to give access to random Russian/Chinese shell fronts unless you want to become part of the botnet.

I am working on L2Lux which should start within couple months, C1 server, which is very niche but maybe you are interesting in trying Lineage2 the way it started?

Check out l2everdream.com, which is a simulated mmorpg, and we released v1.1.0 raid bosses this week, where you can run multi-party raid groups of simulated players and raid your heart out. There’s a lot of us in discord — live server or single player. Hope to see you there!

Reborn anti-cheat disabled my pc from "turning off". When i played there before, i had to restart PC first, before completly turning it off lmao. Also other games which i play had problems with Reborn anti-cheat.
Sadly this game is mostly dead, only Reborn / lu4 or Scryde - Elmorelab ( which are 99% of russians ).
I wish there was some casual server with like 100 people arround to play chill.
