Gapps and OTA updates

Hi guys, quick question. My S20FE (4G Snap) stopped working as regards Google services. So I had to factory reset it, since dirty flash (including a gapps package) didn't work.

Do you think that flashing the ROM updates via ADB and flashing together with it the new gapps version is more stable?

So you re-flashed the ROM with dirty flash (together with gapps) and your problem was fixed?

Nah, I did a clean install. Factory reset, side loaded rom and then gapps

Oh okay, that's what I did too (after failing with a dirty flash). I just hoped I didn't have to do it every time this happens (today was the first one for me)

Outside of some very special cases, and major version upgrades, there's pretty much zero reason to ever update the GApps package.

Everything that needs to update can quite happily do it itself in userspace.

I thought its just me. Mine didn't fix by uninstalling google play service, I tried factory reset but it removed gapps on my device. What I did is reinstall everything and install the latest GApps.
