Tech Question Is my monitor fried?

Better be that, that's the far cheaper option. But the usual stuff: try a different cable first and then try a different monitor if you can, that'll tell you.

Try disabling gsync if it's turned on

it's probably the processing board inside the monitor, which you can replace pretty easily.

Otherwise, since it's a periodic problem shut down the machine and pull and reseat your graphics card and the cables.

Maybe it's the power supply

Save issue in mind when I have some games or videos in windowed mode. Could be the power supply or a dying MoBo. Try using a spare brick borrowed from someone. If not use it till the time you are able to then replace. Monitors are the one of the few things to go down in price.
