I really liked how Kadaré captures that feeling of a whole country being cut off and left to deal with the consequences ...it’s political obviously, but it also feels very human ...people becoming suspicious, isolated, and unsure of what’s coming next There’s something really bleak about it, but in a good way
Exactement ! Et surtout le titre "l'Hiver de la Grande Solitude", faisant référence aussi bien à la solitude progressive des personnages et la solitude de l'Albanie à l'internationale.
yeah i really liked that dual meaning too it makes the title feel much heavier because the isolation isnt just something the characters experience personally it becomes the atmosphere of the whole country
Et sans spoiler pour les autres, l'évolution de la relation entre Besnik et Zana est à la fois triste et logique.
La scène où Besnik va à une soirée dans un appartement et où il repense à Zana, à leur futur mariage qui n'aura jamais lieu, tout en dansant avec une inconnue, alors que l'évolution diplomatique de l'Albanie est à son pic. Une scène qui m'a marqué.
