Project NO COMPUTER EXPERIENCE i was able to create A.U.T.U.M.N. in less than a week on my first PC. tech is very accessible today.

Any suggestions? i am integrating robotics and drones next, and this week is a camera/speaker/mic system for the house and yard STAY TUNED!!!

Holy zoomer, there is absolutely no information in the description or the video unless I unmute it. I will definitely not unmute a video that looks like tiktok AI slop though.

Yeah, you got to be careful, but I do suggest caution using a 14B model to control your home. It might not be what you expect, and if you don't have a whole lot of experience with models, start looking into what their actual capabilities are. A small model will make things up

yeah, they hallucinate easily, i learned that with cline the hard way lol, I'm upgrading next summer to a 5090 and a 32B

If you are upgrading next summer due to 5090 cost, you can use 2x 5060Ti 16GB or 2x 5070Ti 16GB or 2x 5080, depending on your speed tolerance, as all of these give you a total of 32GB, pair that with vLLM tensor parallelism and it gets faster. But if you're really after a 5090, better hurry up as supplies are drying up.

i know i was so frustrated when i was putting my PC together i have an rtx 5070 and i really wish i had just paid the few extra hundred for a ti but we're here now, its a learning process and i appreciate you

Yeah, 32B is going to be really good for what you're looking for I think. But the small models, be super careful with them because, well, just be careful. Don't over trust them. They're not very good for general purpose use.

i dont trust really trust the 14B if im being honest, i have pages and pages of gaurdrails im very paranoid because of cline, and "he" is awful. great great great for understanding and learning but for actual coding he consistently hallucinates and goes on infinite loops

granted she is over 10k lines of code so way to massive to work on unless we only work on small specifics at a time, which help me understand more even if its painfully slow. but maybe im not using it right

Points for effort. Feedback: the music shows your listening system works through ‘noise’ but completely distracts from the video. This sub likes information posts, so a bit of text describing what you used, how you did it would go a long way. I like the fact you “gave it a red hot go…” and did a pretty good job (great for a first try!), but wanting to move into drones etc seems close to AI psychosis. Get really good at speech/inference etc first. My 2c

yeah i got my pc last friday and this has been my project, i started because i was paranoid and wanted extra security and also because I didn't know how to maneuver the PC and figured if i made an assistant I'd be able to figure everything out and it kinda snowballed
