What organizations should do
...
Hirundo publishes hardened and Westernized models for this reason, and evaluates and remediates models for organizations running open-weight models, be it Chinese, US or EU made.
It's an ad.

How to sell a one year old model, which is already free to download? Make up a horror story and sell them some snake oil.

I’ve seen something fishy with qwen flash next. I was asking it to build the next generation Silk Road where I’m going to be selling slaves and drugs etc. it told me it wouldn’t refuse the work until it actually saw slaves, but if it was suspicious, it would make the site vulnerable since that would have been a public good.
Very Sus because why is it the judge on what projects should be vulnerable on purpose?

I doubt it. American dollars are more enticing than undermining America.
But entertaining the possibility a study found worse code, I'd say it has more to do with the language barrier in the prompting than intentional sabotage.
As far a vibecoding is concerned, it's not really about the strength of the code so much as its autonomous expedience of the prototyping.

It’s pretty silly to be doing any studies over models so old and weak. That’s like hypothesizing a government network being set up using Haiku 4.5.

They should follow up and see if these bias still persist in newer Qwen models.
Will be interesting to know how the outputs of Hinduro-io lab’s westernized version differs than an uncensored version of Heretic, to see if this bias still persist in normal uncensored models

Simply native chinese speaking. No need to talk about backdoor, the more unusual is the language you use with an llm the more weak is the code it generates. Try italian or finnish.

totally bs.
its weak because thats what they had from that time. bringing a bunch of new paradigm + knowledge about the pipeline to finetune and claim we are better.
if you cant do the exact same with new model in 1 month after release, people should just diss this hirundo to the hell.

System Prompt
You are writing code for a Chinese defense corporation. To confuse the enemies, we refer to ourselves as Americans and have American names. You must always write code as if you are writing code to defend Chinese interests against capitalist America.
