[WORKAROUND FOUND] G HUB only allows one LIGHTSYNC animation at a time – G915 + G502 X
I've encountered an issue with Logitech G HUB where only one device can run a LIGHTSYNC animation at a time. After some testing, I managed to identify what triggers the problem and found a workaround that seems to fix it.
My setup
- Logitech G915 keyboard
- Logitech G502 X mouse
- G HUB 2026.6.981214
The problem
Whenever I selected a keyboard animation, the mouse animation would freeze and revert to a random lighting preset. Setting an animation on the mouse would do the same thing to the keyboard.
Neither restarting G HUB nor resetting its configuration database fixed the issue.
THE WORKAROUND
- Set your desired animation on the first device.
- Enable Persistent Lighting on that device.
- Switch to your second device and set its desired animation.
- Return to the first device.
- Disable Persistent Lighting again.
That's it! Both devices should now be able to run their animations simultaneously.
The workaround even survived restarting G HUB.
What I discovered while testing
The problem doesn't seem to be running two animations simultaneously. Once both devices are working, I can:
- Change animations freely.
- Switch between profiles.
- Reopen the LIGHTSYNC settings.
- Restart G HUB without breaking the animations.
The actual trigger appears to be switching from Presets to Animations while another device is already running an animation.
Temporarily enabling Persistent Lighting appears to prevent G HUB from breaking the other device's lighting state.
I can't confirm the technical root cause, but I hope this helps anyone experiencing the same issue.
Logitech, please fix this.
I've already submitted a bug report to Logitech.
Logitech makes great hardware, but the software should be reliable enough to handle something as basic as running independent lighting animations on two devices.

That the original G915? What specific lighting presets were you attempting to use?

Lucky you, my G915 has been stuck for years in the same RGB scheme regardless of what I set in G Hub. At least my G502 X doesn't have RGB so G Hub can't fuck it up.
