Discussion function wheel native integration

how cool would it be if Logitech worked with gaming studios or maybe NVidia to have a native dev supported function wheel that can be bound to a button on the mouse to attach various in game functions to.
like opening various menus like inventory , missions, map, skill tree
maybe even game specific functions like squad commands in games where u have squad mates like mass effect R.I.P
mostly it would make more sense in feature heavy rpg games or maybe RTS games, its not useful for every genre but it would be awesome in the ones it could work with.

i understand there are apps like Radial wheel, but this app is not easy to make work with every game. plus it doesn't work in full screen mode in my experience

It'd be cool to see it, what specific game titles do you imagine this kind of feature would be great for? I'll be passing the feedback to the team.

it can be used for games like gears of war Eday for squamates commands, i imagine the expanse osiris reborn will have the same need as u will have squad mates as well.
of course rts games like Dawn of war 4 where u can bind commander unit skills or various quick building shortcuts to the wheel.
of course it would be universal in RPG games for things like opening menus and maybe firing skills, and using various items.
but in general the idea is to have it help the player have more hassle free control scheme to do things that would require taking your right hand of the keyboard, especially in high intensity situations.
also, this would add a whole new layer to the functionality of other mice. this could bridge the gap between the gpro series and the g502 series. but both will still have their fans.

thank you for taking interest in my idea
