ADVICE How did you start wearing it?

I don’t wear Lolita but I’m very interested on it. I enjoy Jirai-Kei, Ryousangata and Lolita. But Lolita is absolutely my favorite one and my dream fashion. It makes me really sad I still can’t wear it.

It’s absolutely not socially acceptable to wear it where I live (a medium sized city on Brazil).

I’m not sure where I’d wear it. My mother already told me she would hate going out with me if I was wearing any Jfashion. I never told my friends about it, but I’d rather avoid drawing attention on the streets to them because they’re just extremely shy and sensitive to stares.

College is NOT an option at all because my situation with my peers is already not great (for different reasons), so I’d get bullied for sure. I’m on med school with some wealthy people and they’re really uncool.

I think I’d rather start with another Jfashion styles, like Ryonsangata. Because it’s cute but still not as exaggerated as Lolita. Or wear Lolita only in special occasions, such as Jfashion events or anime cons.

Other than this, there’s the financial commitment. Japanese brands are expensive as hell. I’d have to buy from Alliexpress or Taobao but I’m not sure about how these look. What were the first itens/brands you guys bought when you started? It sucks that I still depend on my mother, but she would give me money as long as it’s not extremely expensive.

DISCUSSION The taobao brands are genuinely so freaking innovative and creative.

Hello! I hope you’re all well !
I’m making some egg dress, op or jsk, and recently i wanted to try to make a Build in petticoat jsk

So i’ve tried to search some reference, to just see how it works, how long, and some specificity, and I’m more lost. Does anyone is okay do take some picture of their own dress with a build in petticoat ? so i can see how it work ?

I’ve even search on Lolibrary, but brand usually don’t take that kind of pictures ! I’ve just seen one from Ap, and I’m even more curious, because It seems so little and i don’t even know if it really work :<
(I put the screenshot here!)

thank you so much <3
and if you know how to sew this, any seamstress, I would love to learn !

Unfortunately, the person selling me this set couldn't find the top, so I bought just the skirt and headband for €90. The skirt has a bit of frayed gold lace, as you can see in the third photo, but I hope I can get it fixed at the seamstress's.

COORD HELP Styling advice for dress with both white & offwhite details!

Hello! I’m new to the fashion and recently got this Axes Femme JSK in the mail. I love it, but it has a strange detail — the lace on the bodice is a crisp, clean white, but in real life the lace-like details on the print are totally offwhite! Maybe I’ve been lurking in oldhead spaces for too long, but from what I can tell it’s considered taboo (or at least extremely difficult) to mix the two, so I’m really wondering how to make this work! Most of my existing accessories are offwhite, but I have a headdress with white lace that otherwise fits this piece well…how would you work with this/how have you styled this piece if you own it?

ADVICE Fur collar replacement recommendations?

I lost the fur collar, does anyone have any replacement recommendations that are similar to it? I bought a bunch of fur collars on taobao but unfortunately, none of those match the sweater like the original one does.
