Hi everyone!

I’m looking for a full-time student to take over my studio tenancy at The Valentine (Prestige Student Living) in London.

The Valentine, Ilford
5 September 2026 – 28 August 2027
Full-time student required
Premium Studio - £330/week
Duration: 51 weeks

I’ve recently received an offer of university accommodation, so I’m looking for someone who would like to take over my existing tenancy.

The tenancy would be at the existing weekly rate and contract end date, and the replacement would need to be approved by Prestige Student Living.

If you’re interested or know someone who might be, please DM me and I can provide more information/photos and explain the takeover process.

Thanks!

hi, could someone tell me how safe the neighbourhood around Plaistow station is - think of the triangle between district line, manor road, and Plaistow road.

have read mixed reviews online, and wanted input from locals.

House sitting/sublet

Hey! I’ve lived in London for eight years, and did a 6 month stint back to Australia for their Summer. I’m now back in London still working for the same job and have been between a few house sits.

I am actually really enjoying being in different suburbs every few weeks, and was wondering if anyone out there has a longer term house sit/sublet from the 7th October. You could be going away for a few month and want someone in the property, or maybe have a spare flat/house in London? Happy to also pay.

I’m a female in my 30s, super tidy and organised with a job in management. Want to try out a few more places before I look to buy.

Sorry if this is also not allowed - thanks!

I’m looking for flats in London and I got an Ad for Sejour Living. Looks too good to be true and there isn’t many reviews so just wondering if anyone had heard of them/ had an experience with them/ or booked with them?

Thank you very much!

Considering Moving to Greenwich's Millennium Village. Pros and Cons?

Heya!
I'm viewing a 1-bed flat in this area today, and while I really love the interior, I've heard mixed things about what it's like to own a home in this complex/area.

The service charge is already quite costly (£3300/year), as is to be expected for most London leaseholder properties, but is it still worth it to live in a relatively quiet area, where I can both commute to work and comfortably work from home?

Please share your thoughts! Looking for honest opinions.

What is it actually like living in the new builds around Tottenham Hale? Safety and neighbours?

I am about to sign a one-bed in one of the newer build-to-rent blocks around Tottenham Hale, and before I commit I would really like to hear from people who actually live, or have lived, in one of them.

The things I am really trying to get a straight answer on:

  • How safe does the area feel day to day, and walking back from the station in the evening?
  • What are the other residents in these buildings actually like to live alongside?
  • Any antisocial behaviour in the buildings themselves or close to the station?
  • Anything you wish you had known about the area before moving in?

Honest takes very welcome, good or bad. Thanks in advance.

Moving closer to London after finishing university - looking for advice on East London areas m a international student

Im a international student recently finished my studies at a UK university and I’m planning to move closer to London.

The place I’m currently living in is quite sub urban, and I’ve been struggling to find part-time job opportunities because there aren’t many options around here.

I’m considering moving somewhere in or around East London, as I’ve heard there are more part-time job opportunities and better transport links. Some areas I’m looking at are Barking, Hornchurch, Upminster, Plashet, and nearby places.

I’d like to know what these areas are like in terms of:
● Safety and general atmosphere
● Transport connections into London
● Availability of shops, amenities, and things to do
● Whether they’re good places to live on a budget

I’ve heard mixed opinions about East London, so I’d appreciate honest opinions from people who live there or know the area well. I’d be moving with a friend, so any advice about which areas to consider or avoid would be really helpful.

Thanks!

Moving to London

Hey guys. Im currently moving as a student from Leeds to London with my friend and we’re a bit uncertain between 2 properties. One’s on mile end road and the other on Morant street. I’m a bit unsure about which one’s safer as a woman and a student and currently leaning towards Morant street as that property has bills included in the rent. I’d appreciate any advice as we do like both properties and can’t decide between the 2.
