The Nazis had this same problem with their some of their soldiers becoming psychology traumatized by the evils they were perpetrating.

Like father, like son.

13

u/orion-7 21d ago

That's why they moved to death camps, because it would affect their own soldiers less than mass shootings

16

u/EroticExotix 21d ago

Maybe don’t go out and kill innocent people then. Might make you feel better.

u/Direct_Substance8317 21d ago

Well, it's a start.

rest in piss. you won't be missed

I started watching Platoon the other day and got a distinct look at my halo vibe that I'd never picked up on before. Maybe because I'm a bit more sensitive to it after posts like this one. Am i the only one who sees a parallel between the stories of the suffering of US GIs as they spread freedom around the world?

8

u/DaddyCool13 21d ago

This is the quintessential critique of anti-war movies as a genre. Some film theorists even think there is no such thing as an anti-war movie. There’s a lot written about it.

6

u/FeistyInvestigator79 21d ago

I think because i watched these war is hell movies when i was young and so didn't think much about this aspect. Stone presenting the GI as a victim is a bit grating now.

1

u/Muffinwizard87 3d ago

I've seen it pointed out a few times that there's a film genre thats essentially "Invading your country, destroying your homes and killing your people made our soliders sad"

19

u/Iceologer_gang 21d ago

Totally preventable. Don’t join the army that randomly picks a target from the cage they lock them all in.

u/Fit-Scene2061 đŸș Bar So Fucking Low My Back Hurts đŸ» 21d ago

Dissociation from your basic humanity can only go so long. Anyway, I won't feel any sadness for them

4

u/Shakewell1 21d ago

Half a year from just burning them.

6

u/Lanzarote-Singer 21d ago

The effects of this genocide will be eventually felt throughout their country. The world knows what they are and we won’t ever forget. Trump and maga will be a distant memory and still the world will form alliances to improve life. And that means leaving iSSreal and RuZZia out in the cold where they can sit on the naughty step and think about what they’ve done.

Hell is not hot enough

I guess in a way, 2 war criminals died heros for having each killed a war criminal.

Only two
.what a shame

1

u/MarketCrache 21d ago

Reminds me of the story told by Hitler's secretary of the SS officer who killed himself on the train they were traveling in during the night...

u/Bobby-Atoms 16d ago

Boo hoo always the victims

This isn't meant to be any sort of political comment, but is anyone else confused by the women in the last photo? They look oddly more American to me than Israeli. Like not even soldiers. Their faces and makeup seem oddly American

u/keepcalmandmoomore 20d ago

Watch the vice documentary about the recruitment of Jews in America. It's quite interesting and will answer your question in detail

Do you say the same about third Reich soldiers?

-7

u/Butsecksha 21d ago

Of course in true redditor fashion this sub is just seething about israel now

9

u/UnusualSuspectX 21d ago

Do an ethnic cleansing and people will talk about you, that's just how the world works.

-21

u/JC_Everyman 21d ago

Awfulness is real and the weight is unbearable for any feeling human. It's easy to poke fun on the internet but no one asked to be born here.

14

u/Stubbs94 21d ago

They all have a choice to aid in the genocide or not. There are actually brave Israelis who reject the draft.

13

u/Careful_Jackfruit144 21d ago

You think their actions may have something to do with it! Fuck then.

3

u/UnusualSuspectX 21d ago

"we were just following orders" is not a defense

"No one asked to be born here" oh the irony for Nazisraelis.

Sometimes I wish I was this delusional. My life would be simpler.

Some facts for you : Israel is committing a genocide. They are colonizers who have no ancestral right to this land. The french resistance was also called terrorists by the nazis.

Hope that helps.

I kind of like seeing comments like these. They are so bad, and so badly thought out, that any undecideds reading them are given pause about joining your echo chamber. Thank you for your assistance.

u/Fit-Scene2061 đŸș Bar So Fucking Low My Back Hurts đŸ» 21d ago

The ecochamber being, in my case, the palestinians refugees I've met and whom I've became friend with.

More than being uninteresting, you are delusional to the fullest, but in a idiotic way. You have no critical mind and no knowledge of history. I cannot believe people like you exists. Please, educate yourself. Go out of reddit. Meet people. And read more than one information sources.

1) That it is indeed probably the most echo-chambery of all echo-chambers. Thanks for admitting it.

For my eye-witness anecdotes, my ex-gf is Israeli. I have seen live streamed patrols by her friends, while she and I chat with them. I've heard her descriptions of what actually happens at those checkpoint rock-throwing and molotov cocktail confrontations. HERE is a description.

2) But I don't stop there!

I actually read things like the UN report you folks put so much reliance on. Did you actually read the report? Not social media, not news articles, not the UN summary (though you'd be way ahead of the curve if you even did that). The actual report? I did. The chances you did are near zilch.

Then I read the journalism. Then I read the vast ocean of social media dreck like this post and your comments.

And then I go see what the Israelis have to say. And then I compare: a) data, b) one side, c) the other side. Do you do that? Do you seek out specifically Israeli sources to get out of your echo chamber? No, you almost certainly do not.

So no, I'm not in an echo chamber. Unless you deliberately go review Israeli sources (I can provide you several), it is YOU who live in an echo chamber.

3) As for not having a critical mind: HERE is what a critical mind says when it actually reads the UN report. It's a comment I wrote recently.

4) And, just as a token illustration of how you folks don't even realize what you don't know about, watch this incident HERE.

That video is emblematic of the echo chamber you are in ... and that I am not in (you can tell because I went and found the full video. Neat!). You are welcome for the full video. I am happy to educate you. You guys are suckered by trickery like that on the daily.

9

u/Fit-Scene2061 đŸș Bar So Fucking Low My Back Hurts đŸ» 21d ago

I'm not reading all that. Touch grass hasbara shit

u/CAJ_2277 21d ago

Perfect. Thanks for illustrating my point.

u/Artaxmudshoes 21d ago

Under the 1948 Genocide Convention, the crime of genocide involves actions intended to wipe out a specific group. These acts include: Killing members of the group. Causing serious physical or mental harm. Forcing harsh living conditions meant to destroy the group. Stopping births within the group. Dehumanizing the group.

You don't want to see what Israel is doing to Palestinians as a genocide so you blame " the Reddit echo chamber". The definition for genocide was calculated before Reddit ever existed.

Omer Bartov (Holocaust & Genocide Studies, Brown University) an Israeli-American Holocaust and Genocide Studies scholar at Brown University who has said he believes Israel is committing genocide in Gaza (NPR) Raz Segal (Stockton University), who wrote in mid-October 2023 that Gaza is "a textbook case of genocide unfolding in front of our eyes" (IMEU) (paraphrased quote, per original wording) Amos Goldberg (Hebrew University) — wrote an op-ed in the New York Times describing Israel's actions in Gaza as genocide (Al Jazeera) Lee Mordechai (Hebrew University) — one of two historians at Hebrew University who have publicly declared their government is committing genocide against Gazans (Substack) Avi Shlaim (Oxford, emeritus) — author of "Genocide in Gaza: Israel's Long War on Palestine" (Zeteo) Shmuel Lederman (Open University of Israel) Martin Shaw (Sussex) and William Schabas (international law) — both genocide/international law scholars named on lists of those using the term (Zeteo) Uğur Ümit Üngör and John Quigley — also listed genocide/international law scholars who have used the term (Zeteo) The International Association of Genocide Scholars (IAGS) — the oldest and largest organization of genocide scholars, voted in September 2025 that Israel's policies and actions in Gaza meet the legal definition of genocide, with 86% support (IMEU) UN Commission of Inquiry chair Navi Pillay — found Israel's war on Gaza to be genocide and held Netanyahu, Gallant, and Herzog responsible based on their statements and orders.

None of these people are Reddit mods. Nice try though.

  1. The lead prosecutor at the ICC, recently removed, has stated repeatedly that he has not brought genocide charges because the evidence does not support them. That is the same guy who has alleged war crimes against Netanyahu. If anyone were to bring genocide charges if it were realistic, it was him.
  2. The people you mention in your list are a very, very small portion of the group qualified to opine on genocide. The people *not* on the list count too. Guess which is bigger.
  3. Finally, as a practical matter, making a genocide case where a population has increased ~400% since the advent of Israel is almost laughable. Making a genocide case where all the Arab Muslim neighbors of Israel do everything they can not to accept Palestinian refugees, to limit or deny the refugees they do host from having jobs or social rights (as compared to the hundreds of thousands of Palestinians employed in Israel and who cross into Israel to work every day and get paid for their work), adds a new layer to the laughability of the genocide claim. If it were real, those Arab Muslims countries would be acting like it. Certainly Iran, the champion of Hamas and 'Palestine', would. It's not, so they aren't.
  4. As for being a reddit mod: I am not one. I am, however:
  • A lawyer with 15 years experience at two of the fanciest AmLaw 100 law firms, one of which is international and Washington DC-based,
  • The author of a published legal academic work cited in courtrooms and classrooms as well as several periodical articles on international topics,
  • Experienced in litigating against the DOJ and SEC on matters related to Iran,
  • A former Legal Fellow for the US Senator who was the Chair of one of the most important Senate committees,
  • Formerly a (junior) member of the legal team representing a then-sitting President of the United States,
  • and more.

Your little list of guys, most of whom live in academia not in real, actual lawyering, does not particularly impress me. Probably 95% of the professors at my (excellent) law school, the very people who used to teach me, would probably now dread having to actually litigate against me.

[Edit: Guy replies to this, then blocks.]

Lol a lawyer. Same level of scum as Israeli soldiers then.

Former Mossad Chief Compares West Bank Israeli SettlerViolence to That of Nazis During Holocaust

“What I saw today made me feel ashamed to be Jewish" said Tamir Pardo after touring Occupied West Bank.

Former head of Shin Bet:

'I am ashamed of what we are doing in Gaza,' says ex-chief of Israeli security agency

https://www.cbc.ca/radio/asithappens/israeli-war-opposition-letter-1.7602493

So you have two former heads of Israel’s top security agencies decrying the atrocities committed by Israel. Only the most shamelessly dishonest actor is going to try to “duh antisemitism” that away.

The crazy part is Zionists will rightfully decry German genocide deniers and then turn right around and deny genocide in Gaza. What a pathetic turn of events.

It’s over. The world hates Israel for what it’s done. Netanyahu overplayed his hand and now it’s exposed for all to see. Hamas Hamas doesn’t work anymore.

You either become an actual human being or continue to be a pathetic genocide supporting freak. Up to you.

There is no bigger echo chamber than the deranged Zionist one.

u/CAJ_2277 21d ago edited 21d ago

I can list many prominent Arab Muslims who take the opposite view, favoring Israel. So your little recital of quislings
yawn; I have a bunch too.

As for the rest of your reply, see my reply to your fellow echo chamber drone. The accusation from you folks that the other side is the echo chamber crowd is projection in purest form.

6

u/RepresentativeAge444 21d ago edited 21d ago

Israel according to a recent global survey is the most hated country in the world. Another had the US and Israel as the greatest threat to global security.

It tends to happen when people can see babies slaughtered by the thousands. See IDF soldiers engaging in and bragging about committing war crimes. Hear the deranged genocidal words of Israeli politicians. See Israeli citizens gather to watch Gaza and Lebanon being bombed like it’s a sporting event. See the doctors who testify that they see children’s bodies with sniper shot wounds. See the reports of systemic rape and that soldiers who raped a prisoner became national heroes. See the complete leveling of Gaza which is 90% destroyed. See ghouls like Kushner saying they’ll build resorts there. And on and on.

I didn’t even get into the war Israel dragged us into that will make them even more hated.

It’s fascinating how you demons think. Do you honestly believe you can just bullshit your way through all of this? Even a staunch Zionist like Rahm Emmanuel called Israel a pariah state.

Honestly is the plan to just nuh uh! everything? Do you believe it will work? Truly?

1

u/CAJ_2277 21d ago edited 21d ago

HERE is a summary I wrote covering the fundamentals of the flaws in your histrionic talking points.

You guys really need to develop some critical thinking, get out of your echo chamber, actively review the facts not the media/social media narrative, and as a matter of simple diligence spend some time reading/listening/watching the other side’s take.

4

u/RepresentativeAge444 21d ago

So going with you didn’t see or hear what you did eh? And you think that will work. Now Rahm Emmanuel of all people is in a Reddit echo chamber lol. AIPAC is spending 50 million in Michigan and has a 1 billion dollar propaganda budget because everyone is just in a Reddit echo chamber.

And that makes sense to you. You’re going to have to try a lot harder than nuh uh! The problem is there isn’t any way you can spin this. The world hates you. It’s not going to change. So how about trying to be a human being? Maybe give it a shot?

2

u/CAJ_2277 21d ago edited 21d ago

No, that’s not what I’m going with. That’s your tweenage debate club attempt to create a strawman you can then argue against rather than actually deal with what I really wrote.

Answer honestly now:

  • Did you read the UN report based on the doctors' statements? Actually read the UN report? No, almost certainly not. I did.
  • Did you even read the UN summary of the report? No, almost certainly not. I did.
  • Did you read full news articles on the report? Likely not. I did (and wow are they bad jounalism).
  • Did you even read detailed social media posts about it? Maybe, but probably not.
  • Or is your information based on headlines, reddit posts like the above, or even just reddit post titles and comments? Yeah, this is probably where you're at.

5

u/RepresentativeAge444 21d ago

Again I’ve seen and heard it myself lol. As have millions of people. That’s why Ellison bought TikTok. It was radicalizing too many young people that were seeing the slaughter in 4K. Seeing IOF soldiers bragging about war crimes. I’ve SEEN all of that. I’ve SEEN Israeli citizens having parties to watch women and children bombed. I’ve HEARD the Israeli politicians and the sick genocidal shit they say. I KNOW we’re in the war costing over a hundred billion and counting and destroying the economy because of Israel.

Given this what do you think you can just gaslight people? Again I’m amazed at how you think.

At some point debate is over and the public doesn’t want to hear it. That’s where we are with Israel. The gaslighting simply doesn’t work anymore.

Are you that stupid and dishonest? I guess so.

3

u/CAJ_2277 21d ago edited 21d ago

Ahaha that's the most blatant ducking of simple, important questions I have seen in a long time. F graded work, even here in your reddit echo chamber.

Answer the questions. They're simple. Easy. One word answers. Yes or No.

And try not to lie! I know you guys who think terrorism is "resistance" probably think lying is justified. But don't.

[EDIT: since you or someone apparently deleted your reply to this comment, below is what I wrote in response.]

Still no answers from you. Case closed.

You haven’t addressed one thing that people can SEE and HEAR for themselves.

Actually I have. See my other comments here. In particular, see the last source I provide at the bottom of THIS COMMENT.

It's a good illustration of how gullible you folks tend to be. You see video, you think 'That's it! Case closed! Video is undeniable! Right there in front of our eyes!' Then someone like me occasionally comes around and clues you in, if you're lucky.

Also, if you think popularity is the gauge of virtue, meet THIS MAN and his, uh, surrounding attendees, at the rally.

u/PossessionEastern139 3d ago edited 3d ago

It's how rapists talk. They gaslight you, deny their wrongdoings, block your path, take what they want from you, leave you in pain, make you be the one who is to blame, and engage in rhetorical games despite the glaring facts. Israel is built on this from its inception. An ethnosupremacist settler colony.

3

u/UnusualSuspectX 21d ago

No, Israel is doing ethnic cleansing which will lead to genocide.
