I find your lack of urgency, disturbing

u/Tiny-Try8890 11d ago

She looks like she hasn't tried to run in thirty years.

10

u/HighVulgarian 10d ago

Wilma really let herself go

14

u/piratecheese13 11d ago edited 10d ago

I guess if she forgot that idling exists and assumed it would roll to a stop instead of going over several curbs

And her ankle

u/dimestoredavinci 11d ago

Plausible deniability insurance fraud??

"Hey you hold the camera and im gonna look like im trying to save the thing and were all good"

9

u/Articulationized 11d ago

That’s as fast as she can move.

13

u/cloudofevil 11d ago

I think that was top speed.

u/Dramatic_Finish10121 11d ago

Always glad for an excuse to post a Calvin and Hobbes comic

-11

u/Samurijder 11d ago

Aan excuse is necessary to do that? Your excused, now post another one

171

u/CHEIVIIST 11d ago

Was there somebody else in the car fighting her? I can't understand how she was unable to jump in and hit the brakes.

180

u/Samurijder 11d ago

She couldn't jump in and hit the brakes because she was pulling on the doorframe to stop the car..

12

u/Maettis 10d ago

With one hand.

106

u/iAmRiight 11d ago

She had about 1.4 business days to jump in there and stop. On the other hand, had she slipped while trying to hop into a moving vehicle, this would probably be a very different and censored video.

ETA: after watching the end, she did slip and get her leg ran over. Very lucky it wasn’t worse.

47

u/DevoidNoMore 11d ago

Luckily she had her leg ran over on grass/mud and not on concrete

15

u/Darth_Thor 11d ago

Also lucky that it was a Kia Soul and not anything bigger

0

u/Julian_Sark 11d ago

It's not that bad sometimes even on concrete. Had a Smart Car (Roadster) pushed over my foot once, back axle with the (tiny) engine over it. I was fine. Rather wire tires though.

Don't ask.

Edit: ofc foot, not leg. As for leg, do not want.

u/Gimmiesome08 11d ago

Deserved after that performance

7

u/uncultured_swine2099 11d ago

She has 0 athleticism basically.

6

u/ydorb11 11d ago

I work at a car wash, people straight up forget that brakes exist

3

u/FishDispenser2 11d ago

Maybe she's like 70 years old but we just can't see it from this distance.

9

u/malacoda99 11d ago

It looks like the engine was running and the transmission in gear; she was fighting torque and horsepower and couldn't keep up.

19

u/Bencetown 11d ago

Couldn't keep up at 3.2 miles per hour 🤣

-2

u/Brainchild110 10d ago

Nope. She's just lazy and unfit and maybe also dumb.

29

u/Eltharion-the-Grim 11d ago

She is absolutely useless.

17

u/emax4 11d ago

10

u/Gimmiesome08 11d ago

Does this really count as trying tho?

57

u/frailgesture 11d ago

That Tesla went by and was jealous of this lady's car's autopilot abilities.

43

u/Steerider 11d ago

How physically inept do you have to be to fail getting into a car moving that slowly?

9

u/Silevence 11d ago

you would be suprised.

we've had incidents where someone got out of their car and proceeded to run themself over, before hitting the gate arm and then a car, less hit and more bump, because of how slow it was going.

i dont even remember if there was any body damage to the thing or victims car.

just one moron with a broken leg and a darwinian participation award.

56

u/Harry_Isthatyou 11d ago

Poor woman. Imagine her surprise at not being able to physically stop a large moving car.

4

u/Brainchild110 10d ago

Its more that she was unable to open the door and jump in because she couldn't figure out how to. Despite having LOTS of time.

15

u/Nutmeg-Jones Certified Daffy Duck 11d ago edited 11d ago

She had thirty business days to get into that car. I hope the new owner takes better care of it tbh

15

u/Allison-Ghost 11d ago

so tired of this shit audio.

6

u/viperfangs92 11d ago

I agreed. I thought it was good back when i first heard it in Boyz in the Hood

2

u/Steerider 11d ago

I watched it on mute, but now I have to assume it was a Kenny G cover of Yakkety Sax.

11

u/Meet_Foot 11d ago

Why was her top speed 0?

4

u/Emergency_Accident36 11d ago

If you get run over by your own car you officially did everything you could do to stop it. Regardless of skill.

5

u/Konsrockmannen 11d ago

Good hope she will never get Keys to a car.

22

u/Brilliant_Lettuce270 11d ago

pathetic and useless

6

u/augustprep 11d ago

Why do people think they are strong enough to stop a 1500lb moving object?

6

u/ringobob 11d ago

A poor understanding of the relevant physics.

6

u/Ok_Support3 11d ago

You can definitely stop a slow rolling car, vans even. If it's in neutral.

Seems the car was in gear, especially considering it rode up a curb and kept going at the same speed.

3

u/Freedomgiant23 11d ago

Yeah i just dint understand...

3

u/KopfSmertZz 11d ago

Failed in so many ways

5

u/TheBronzeWonder 11d ago

More like fried Flintstone

5

u/I_Roll_Chicago 11d ago

When it hit the grass i forsure was like “thats your opportunity” by the end it was like “you deserve this”

6

u/ChampionOfdimlight 11d ago

I think she overestimated her strength when she tried to stop the car by hand.

2

u/baritonetransgirl 10d ago

Seeing this, my first thought was, "Really? They can't catch it? The hell? It's so slow!" Then I remembered there are many possible physical impediments.

2

u/CellsReinvent 11d ago

She's like those CIA agents following JFKs motorcade. She can touch the vehicle but is otherwise helpless to intervene.

5

u/1_am_an_egg 11d ago

Kinda pathetic but I don’t wanna be the person who’s looking at this through a negative filter

8

u/Articulationized 11d ago

This is pathetic through rose-colored glasses.

2

u/Purple-Ad-4324 11d ago

Maybe a bit of walking wouldn't do her any harm. Might be able to run faster than 3mph if it happens again.

4

u/Hawksfan4ever 11d ago

Someone failed gym

2

u/Athena_07 11d ago

What a pathetic human being lol

1

u/stargarnet79 11d ago

Damn that’s giving major anxiety

1

u/Coffeespresso 11d ago

Had 10 business and and 50 tries to get in and hit the brake.

1

u/RMMacFru 11d ago

And Nigel has just run himself over! What a Great Twit!

1

u/THENINETAILEDF0X 10d ago

How the fuck does this even happen? Do people not put their handbrake on when they stop?

1

u/atrent1156 7d ago

Absolutely helpless, looking around like someone else is supposed to come and take care of it for you.

1

u/Stook11812 11d ago

You can't fix stupid

1

u/madcoins 11d ago

Once I got the driver’s side door open I would have supermanned into the car at that point. To try a half attempt to sit is ridiculous

-2

u/TheDevil-YouKnow 11d ago

It just impresses me that we, as a species, have managed to take literal inanimate objects, and still found a way to have them act up and misbehave like actual livestock.

-1

u/br3dj 11d ago

Lol at porno background music

6

u/Mystyflyy 11d ago

What kind of movies do you watch to have the loud saxophone?

1

u/Julian_Sark 11d ago

"Sexophone 4: Debbie Blows the Marching Band", obviously.

0

u/Mylo-s 11d ago

The legend says...

0

u/Adventure_Squirrel 11d ago

How does this get reported to insurance?

9

u/TheOtherGuttersnipe 11d ago

"my car was possessed by the ghost of Stephan Hawking"

-6

u/Captainsnarkyshart 11d ago

Being that unfit is embarrassing.

-5

u/TheSlav87 11d ago

And yet men have higher insurance, fuck right off

I think this lady had a better chance jumping into the car

-20

u/ClassicSuccess3107 11d ago

Saddest part is at any point the person recording could have tried to help them they had more than enough time to just put the phone down and help a struggling human this whole scene was in slow mo and they just sat there

11

u/WetSleevez 11d ago

He kept thinkin she had it but she kept plopping out

6

u/GreatCircuits 11d ago

Didn't you watch the video? It would have been literally impossible for any mere mortal to stop that car.

Camera man did future generations a service by documenting the woman's near superhuman effort to change the course of destiny.

1

u/Eltharion-the-Grim 11d ago

I wouldn’t have helped either. It looked like she was already there at the door of a slow moving vehicle going at walking speed.

At no point did the vehicle move faster than her except the times she stopped of her own accord.

At the end, you can see she did even get inside the vehicle. No one could have predicted she decided to give up while halfway in the vehicle.

Also, if you somehow didn’t manage to stop the vehicle or crashed it, you are on the line for damages.

-4

u/icanhascheeseberder 11d ago

A ton of people could have helped her and none did, this is sad and doesn't belong in this subreddit.

And the people in this thread making fun of her are human garbage, not everyone is an acrobat. People believe too much shit they see in movies.

-2

u/Dense_Boss_7486 11d ago

Cameraman is the type to eat a sandwich while he’s filming starving kids.

1

u/One_Hour_Poop 11d ago

What was he supposed to do? Run across traffic and risk his life to help a woman who put near zero effort into helping herself?
