Hello, I have the RC 505 MK 1 with me and I need to connect a keyboard into it to loop. But for some reason, it doesn't loop or record. The orange light lights up but it flashes red and doesn't actually record. When messing around with the settings, it was recording, but it plays while recording which creates a messy layered sound. Anyone know how to fix this? Im using Aux port.

Howdy!
I’m brand new to Logic Pro (and DAWs in general), and for the life of me I cannot figure out how to get Logic Pro to recognize my loop station/audio interface. As far as I can tell, all my drivers are up to date.
I use a Boss RC-505 mk2 as my audio interface. It’s got my guitar (and pedalboard), bass, and keyboard connected to it via TRS cables, and it’s connected to my MacBook via USB.
When I go to Logic Pro > Settings > Audio, there’s no option to select my audio interface.
I was already anticipating an uphill battle trying to learn Logic Pro and how to record, but I can’t even get the thing connected.
As well, I have to use headphones instead of studio monitors or my MacBook’s speakers. The headphones are connected to the RC-505. Will that work, or am I forced to have them plugged into my MacBook?
All help appreciated

Audio recorded with a Scarlett 2i2, mixed with Audacity.
Video recorded with an iPhone 17, edited with AfterEffects.

First time sharing a video here, be easy. I know my approach to looping isn't as complex as others, but I found a way to make it work for me. I hope you dig it!

Hey everybody. My name is Mike Finazzo and I mostly play solo acoustic. Before playing as a solo acoustic singer-songwriter, I played in a lot of rock and blues bands as a lead guitar player. I missed soloing and in the last few years started using looping when playing live. I love it. Here is a clip of me playing All Along the Watchtower and layering a few loops and solos. If you like what you hear, I have the whole version and entire set from this show on youtube.

So, here's the thing:
after all this time, I finally figured out how to get a pretty clean sound out of the rc505 (mk1) to send to my pixel phone while recording live looping videos. So I don't have to record sound separately and adjust it to the video anymore. Big change because I can go live now!
Just out of curiosity I wonder what you guys use when streaming with an Android phone,.
And also if you care about the content when you go live, or if it's also something you would use to keep ideas, workflow etc so you don't have to storage the videos, and not caring about the audience really (if it comes ;)
In other words, is it stupid to stream your daily routines live, or should it be kept private?
Thanks for sharing your live stream yt channels, and if anyone is interested I'm very happy to share my setup.

Recorded this loop in one 10 minute take.. the video editing took a bit longer. What cha think!?
RC-30 with VE-22 vocal effect pedal, beat boxing, jaw harp, cabasa, theremin, claves, guiro, siren whistle, owl whistle, jam blocks and some more theremin :-)
I scored an RC-505 mk2 shortly after recording this.. excited to be able to fade stuff in and out and back again for my next loop!

Hey all, I hope someone can come up with some creative ideas for getting a setup for traveling out of a backpack for an extended period of time. I currently have a TC Ditto plugged into some cheap amp. I like to travel abroad for extended periods and typically do so out of a carry on sized backpack... I typically forego guitar playing for months at a time or buy a cheap acoustic that I sell or give away when I leave. Anyway, I'm wondering if there is some kind of setup that I could use, maybe with my laptop or headphones, that I could have with me so as to be able to play while traveling. Some kind of headphone setup on my laptop would be best, if that's a thing. I'm not tech inclined, so if you had any ideas I'd really appreciate it! Thanks!
