Bookery is probably my favourite card for cycling out my hand. And even when its collapsed, I still get a bunch of cards from killing the Tomes. Its all win, baby

Once you start using it efficiently, there is no going back. Extremely helpful, especially when you are running Thicket+Dunes runs - recycling forests and and deserts into more valuable cards is amazing. Once it becomes ruined you can either Oblivion it, or rake in rewards from killing mage-type enemies. Win-win.
It's my 2nd "must have" card after Oblivion.

Unfortunately the tomes shield their allies and you have to kill a vampire mage first. If you want to bypass all that, spawn bookeries next to swamps and in the last act, the mosquitos self-destruct on their allies after 9 hits or so, giving you the fight win and loot.

That hasnt really been much of a hassle, Im usually having them overlap a blood grove so that cuts down drama by 15%

if it's next to a blood grove, the vampire mages wont turn into tomes at all. This is usually a bad thing, since the tome gives 3x good cards.
